My husband, Ofek, and I decided after our wedding to quit the rat race, sell our stuff and start traveling, before we settle down and have kids. We decided to travel the US because I grew up a city girl (manhattan), and hadnt traveled so much. I was a little apprehensive about full time traveling. We figure if im going to push myself with all types of new changes and roughing it, i should have at least something familiar, my country. My language, road signs i can read, places ive heard of, sort of know where were going...
Ofek is way more adventurous than me, and traveled to New Zealand for 7 months with a backpack.
Dont get me wrong, im no princess. I was always a tomboy, and joined the Israeli ARMY voluntarily for 2 years. (where we met) My weakness is change. I am a creature of habit and structure. I along with Ofeks help, and with couchsurfing and travel am trying to change that. To let myself be. To push the limits. Enjoy the freedom.
Being that were full time traveling and not millionaires we bought a small school bus to convert into a mobile home. Were searching for adventures and anything new and interesting or unusual. We want to meet other people, open our minds, expand ourselves to other ways of experiencing life.
