Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
first time I surfed in 2007 in Berlin, then in Reykjavik, Trieste ... I've hosted surfers in Cadiz and Vienna, but have to say my couch is occupied most of the times with friends and friends of friends whom I met during my travels and while living in different cities throughout Europe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my sweetest couchsurfing moment was during one warm and wonderful red wine late night chats with a friend at the time I was staying in Cadiz, Spain, when suddenly a seemingly tired backpacker couple sat down next to us discussing what to do since all the hostels of the city were booked and they didn't have 80euros to spend for a night in the only hotel they could find - so I turned around and offered them to stay at my place, more or less out of the blue, and for a second they seemed confused. then but then the girl and I, almost at the same time, said well 'I'm on couchsurfing'
