PHILOSOPHY

Someone of whom I've forgotten the name once said: "Thoughts, not events, have the power to make myself happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it".
The only thing real is the present moment.

The culture in which whe grow up partially shapes our identity, our vision on the world. Travelling for me means breaking out of that reality and connecting to people, to share experiences, stories. Discovering the world also means discovering yourself.

If I'm hosting you, you can mostly expect lazy jazzbar nights with 'trappist'-beers, good/possibly vega food , some culture, and I've also taken some into the countryside for nature walks before. (that, of course, depends on how active the people want to be ;) )

Interests

One of my favourite hobbies is photography, preferrably in old abandoned mansions and factories. Find me in muddy waters out in the countryside to soak in the landscape and its history
Find me in the kitchen cluttering about and trying out new recipes. I absolutely love sweets and food, but I realised how important it is to respect your health, so I always try to find 'healthy' alternative recipes.
Find me on small&fine music festivals

my all time favourites: Black cat, white cat (I adore this absurd humour) , Zeitgeist , the "What the bleep do we know" docs,Videocracy/TedX talks
