About Me

I study computers and the human mind and all the stuff in between! Talk to me about linguistics, (live) music, food, and getting in touch with people. More a bar than a club person, more coffee than tea, more listening than talking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people and hear stories, I want to taste weird things and hike to weird places. Everybody knows something that I don't, let's find out what it is!

Interests

I like visiting military bases, shady restaurants, bridges, island nations, and subcultures. I like doing things for the first time, intentionally and for the only sake of having-it-done-and-knowing-how-it-feels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm glad about every hint for a good stoner rock / new wave / post punk / synth pop band from your country and any kind of live music, gig, or venue. Also, I'm new to hip-hop and have got a lot to learn here.

Books: I mostly read biographies and novels as well as some "scientific" stuff. Game-changing authors: Jonathan Safran Foer, Max Frisch, and Laurie Penny.

My knowledge about the media film is more than disappointing but Clockwork Orange is the best movie ever made in the past, present, and future.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anyone is up to teach, show or explain to me the following things, I'm here: Lars von Trier movies, the impact of Shakespeare and the meaning of his plays, probabilistic programming, how to make really good pasta, how to tell apart South American countries on geoguessr, squash (the sport), different styles of metal (the music).

What I can share with you: some humor, some kitchen sink psychology, and an understanding and optimistic view on everyone's life ... 0:-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Basic cooking (and German breakfast) skills, the joy of cleaning, and a decent taste in beer!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, United States
