CURRENT MISSION

I am trying to find myself...and I started looking far away from home!

ABOUT ME

I am a student. I fear I might be one forever...but that is because I think we should never stop learning. EVER!
At the moment, I am studying for 6 months at the Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule fur Kunst und Design in Halle, Germany. Since I have been here though, I have realised that the studying wont (and doesn't always have to be) of an academic nature. I am learning something new about myself, the world and how i fit into it everyday! I have no immediate plans for my future, other than to finish my MA.

I am passionate about art. But I also believe that art can be found anywhere and that it is up to "us" to notice the small beautiful things in the world that so often get passed by in the crazyness of our daily lives.
I love reading and occasionally dabble in some writing as well.

I am an avid collector of "things". I tend to find something somewhere and then become obsessed with it, and then continue to look for more of the same. For this reason I love spending time in antique shops and flea-markets! At the moment I am obsessed by thimbles...don;t ask me why!

Music is also a very important part of my life. I think life is just so much more fun with a soundtrack! And the great thing is, you can choose your own score and you can change it as often as you like! My song of the moment (since I've been abroad) is "Hey man, now you're really living" by Eels.

I enjoy meeting new people, and appreciate that I can learn things from them, and they can learn from me.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live a good life. And by that, I mean that I try to live in such a way that it was "good" for me to be on this earth. I believe that it is possible to live in harmony with the world, if you are only patient and respectful. I hope that in some small way, i can teach by example.

I am a new member, and as I am currently traveling I can not really participate. But, I am passionate about my own country and hope to be able to host surfers when i return home next year!
