Half-Italian, Half- Luxembourgish, I am a recent university graduate in Environmental studies and am currently trying to find my path in the treacherous world of professional life. In the meantime I like to travel in a free and open-minded kind of way, mainly by bicycle touring, but also hitchhiking and whatever other way there is that does not imply booking a hotel in advance and a guided tour.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to it by a friend in 2011 and, ever since, my way of traveling and seeing the world has changed. It introduced me to new "concepts" and attitudes such as that of sharing things that we have in excess and do not need, giving without expecting anything in return, exchanging interests and passions with "strangers" and just feeling rewarded by having met and helped a person that you will probably never see again in your life, but with whom you felt a connection and a sense of empathy, if only for just an hour or a couple of days.

Listening and talking about music. Exchanging ideas and cultures. Philosophizing about life and its dilemmas AKA "Metaphysical truth seeking". Cycling. Traveling. Environmentalism. Hiking/Surviving in the nature. Football.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is easily on the top of my list of life passions. I can strum a guitar, but honestly I prefer listening to music rather than playing it. I'm a big music explorer and my record collection has just reached 1500 items. Any style is good for me: from classic rock'n'roll, to punk, indie, folk, rap and world music! It's all about the passion and the emotions!

Books and movies where the theme is coming-of-age, rebellion against oppressive authorities, the refusal to give up our ideals and conform to norms, travelling and exploring the world, nature observation, dreaming and longing, friendship and questioning the world around (and inside) us.
