About Me

CURRENT MISSION(S)

Spread the stoke. ✨ Having a great skate sessions with my downhill longboard or skateboard. Finding inner peace. Meeting interesting people and making new friends. Having deep conversations. Learning something new every day.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I am Annina.

I am 31 years old, crazy, interested in meeting people, talkative, curious, good (black) humored and believe in the inherent good in people.

I am into freestyle/extreme sports (like snowboard, longboard, skateboard, slackline...), I really like this lifestyle. During the summer I am partying on festivals and I'm bombing down streets with my longboard. In the winter I'm in different ski/snowboard-destinationes in switzerland. And whenever possible I go to some lovely Islands and catch some waves with my a surfboards. Did I mention that I love board sports? 😜

I take a cold shower every morning. I eat kiwi with peal. I love Vans and walking barefoot. I like wind in my hair. I don't believe in coincidence. I'm always in a good mood (be careful, it's contagious). I don't watch Netflix. I ask many questions. I'm a spiritual soul, looking for the purpose of life.

PHILOSOPHY

Gedanken schaffen Tatsachen. How do you say this in english?

Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience.

Full send or no send. Commit it! 💥
(It's helpful on the longboard as well as for life in general.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trying several ways to travel, stay, meet people and have fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Can't name them all, it's just an amazing way of travelling and meeting new people. Many unforgettable moments, encounters and experiences. Mostly with other adventurous people sharing the stoke with me.

Interests

I grew up with snowboarding and I love this sport. A few years ago I discovered downhill longboarding, which is quite similar to snowboarding, with the advantage that I can do it also in spring, summer and autumn. I love having a lot of speed, to go until my physical and mental limits.
Longboarding made me learn a lot, also for life. For example, it doesn't matter how many times you fall down, as long as you stand up again.
More lessons I have learned with longboarding, you can look up in my article about a women's longboard camp.

In summer 2017, I participated in an international downhill longboard race for the first time:

Any yes, my second passion is to discuss and philosophize about personal development, spirituality, ideologies, wisdom, conspiracy theories and so on. Ideally in a cozy kitchen, living room or bar with a glass of vine...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: All movies but horror films!! I prefer comedy and romantic movie. Ooor something educational like documentaries or TED Talks.

My favourite acts are Australian and Swiss german Hip Hop crews.
And to relax also classical music as from Mozart, Vivaldi, Beethoven and so on.

Books: Personal development, spirituality books and superhuman things..
And philosophical books as from Paulo Coelho, Mitch Albom, Laurend Gounelle or Jostein Gaarder

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two swedish couchsurfers took me and my friend to a sailing trip in sweden. We went to a lonely small island in the middle of nowhere, where we enjoyed the sunset, went to the sauna and swimming in the lake!
Unforgettable...

And apart from that
- Jumped the Whangarei Waterfall in NZ (26m 🙈)
- Did the 10 days Vipassana meditation course

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach you how to speak "Schwizerdütsch" (Swissgerman) and how to cook tipical Swiss food (I hope you like cheese..). In addition, I can help you to improve your slackline or longboard skills. Or how to tie friendship bracelets or how to crochet headbands.

I would like to exchange our experiences from trips and impressions from other countries and cultures.
