About Me

CURRENT MISSION

explore the peculiarities of the world like Alice in her wonderland

ABOUT ME

I am a 29-year old Dutch woman with a great interest in adventurous travel, off-the-grid living, experiencing cultural differences and having my mind blown.

I am traveling through Central America to get inspired, develop skills in permaculture and eco-building, farming, and ways of community living. Back home I live in a sustainable community in the forest of the Netherlands and our household of 12 is fully run on solar energy and woodstoves. Together we have renovated the whole house. We have two organic gardens.

Back home I make my living designing and building escape rooms, and traveling around with my mobile escape room - a traveling freakshow circus. I also manage a creative collective of builders, the Guild of Inventors.

I am fully convinced that couchsurfing and hitchhiking are the two ways to experience a country.

PHILOSOPHY

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

- Nelson Mandela

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to have couchsurfers over as a distraction of normal life, as a reminder of the borderless world.

I used to live in a squat in Maastricht, but after my travels moved to Amsterdam for my Master studies. Now I live in Den Dolder in a community house.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Morocco, Germany, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines & Chile.
