Overview
About Me
I live in Bonn where I am currently looking for a job. I recently finished an internship at the World Health Organization and am particularly interested in understanding how we can make our lives more sustainable for the planet and for our health.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and found out about couch surfing when I came to Europe; I find it a great way of getting around places and meeting interesting local people who generally enjoy doing the same (as they too are on couch surfing!). There's nothing like staying with the locals and getting to travel with them as well (if they're up for it). I hope I can share some of my culture and life experiences too while learning more about theirs.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy electronic dance and club music on some days and on more relaxed days some nice soft music (don't really know the genre, yet). I am of course discovering more forms of music as I meet people more. Classical has almost always been a favourite (but needs the right setting to be enjoyed).
A big movie buff till I came to Germany. Always enjoy a well-made movie; some recent favourites include Argo, Nebraska and some vibrant Bollywood flicks.
Not the most avid of readers, I would say but have definitely enjoyed some recent bestsellers like The Kite Runner and Forty Rules of Love. The latter has particularly caught my attention and aroused my interest in the genre of Spirituality & Love. I thoroughly enjoy some classical good humour in P. G. Wodehouse's work.I am presently trying to read some German books to improve the language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, during my work in a research lab in Bangalore, I was able to develop a sustainable waste water treatment plant with my team. The idea was wonderful as it not only purified the water but also had the capacity to support its own energy needs. It certainly made me feel more positive about sustainability.
This work experience also led me to acquire a fully-funded scholarship to my studies in Germany! :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I like teaching some basics in yoga (pranayama) techniques and some Indian cooking from time-to-time.
I love learning new languages, German and Italian, being the most recent of the lot. I would also like to learn to play a musical instrument.
Sharing some good interesting life stories, journeys and food always :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I'm on the travel, a lovely smile and my company :)
and when they come visit charismatic Dresden, then my place to stay!
I would also be happy to cook something especially Indian as that's the cuisine I grew up with. I just intend on having a good, relaxed time and hope the host enjoys their self too.
