Overview
About Me
I like to join my friends in their daily activities, whether it's going out for a movie, hiking, diving, or helping prepare and awesome dinner.
I'm currently working in Aotearoa (New Zealand), a country I would have never imagined myself living before. And if you come to Auckland I would be able to help you around.
I can be a little bit shy at first, but that's only the first hour. So keep talking to me and we'll have a lovely day together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To travel is to learn. And the more countries I travel the more I realise how trivial is my knowledge about other people and culture. That is not hurdle for me, but an encouraging impulse to keep on going to new places.
But a country is more than a collection of monuments and landscapes. The true reflection of a country is the culture that emanates from the people living on it. And the best way to get a minimal grasp of that is to interact with locals and, if possible, live with them.
I really enjoy staying with locals, hear their stories, how they feel about their countries, and the rest of the world.
I also enjoyed hosting couchsurfers when I was able to in Madrid. Giving back to the community was equally rewarding as being host.
Interests
Music, arts, history, computing,... almost everything, even Natural Stones. I recently started diving, something that I find very relaxing and would be nice to meet other dive buddies.
By the way, I'd be interested in learning some Maori language, in case someone can teach me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a passion for movies, especially dramas and alternatives movies. The last great movie I saw was a Japanese one on the plane from Auckland to Dubai "Will you marry my wife?" by Miyake Yoshishige. I find the Japanese can make movies like few other nations can.
As for reading, I like to read about what's going on in the world, so The Economist is one of my favourite magazines.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life can be amazing every day, but I have to give just a few examples:
- Being able to take part in a 祭 (matsuri: traditional Japanese festival) in Zoshigaya Kishimojindo Temple in 池袋 (東京)
- My volunteering with women when I was being hosted with a family in Fès.
- Swimming with manta rays and scuba diving in Fiji.
Teach, Learn, Share
Puedo enseñarte algunas recetas de la gastronomía española. Me gusta cocinar.
I know some traditional Spanish recipes, with the years I've been improving and improving. Although I'm not a professional chef.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, but unfortunately the only time I was asked to cook I suggested garlic soup in a country where they don't like garlic. I hope to have more fortune the next time. Obviously I know how to make Spanish recipes.
