Overview
About Me
I am a college senior spending my time in the Little Italy neighborhood of Chicago. When I am not absorbed in my books, you can find me by the lakeshore getting my daily exercise or training for my next race. I enjoy traveling, but currently experiencing the longest hiatus from it due to academic and financial reasons. I am serving as an Americorps VISTA, LBJ's longstanding program in the Puerto Rican neighborhood of Chicago and anxiously waiting to hear back from medical schools.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting new people from different walks of life and put each other outside of our comfort zones. It truly changes the traveling experience and makes it more memorable due to its social connectedness aspect.
Interests
I tend to be all over the place depending on my state of mind and place. I enjoy the solitude of non fiction reading, while being unapologitically outgoing. Camping, hiking, climbing, etc. have been integral to my summer vacations out in the Himalayas. Coming from a family that has been around the globe for more than a century, I identify as a global citizen and culture and politics can be good conversation starters. Recently, I have taken upon diving as my next adventure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed half the elevation of Mt. Everest, ran three marathons, jumped off the highest bungee jumping bridge in the world, and much more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a polyglot who loves talking about global politics and outdoor activities. Let's start there. :)
