Overview
About Me
I was born and bought up in India. Currently, I am living and working in Bangalore. I lived and worked in England for one year. I utilized that time to visit places in Europe and UK.
I am a hybrid mix between a tourist and a solo traveler who does not like to depend on others for travel plans. I prefer visiting a place and make plans with fellow travelers. I love hiking in the mountains (It's been a while since I went on a hike though) with a small group and exploring new cities on foot. I try to find some time from busy schedule to travel. Usually I stay in hostels to meet like minded people from all over the world, or a home-stay rather than hotels to experience the local culture, food and people. I also stay with a local host if they are willing to host me.
Traveling has made me less judgemental, has made me aware of different cultures, and has taught me to focus on positivism, and to keep an open and flexible mindset.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet people who see beyond race and are willing to understand other culture.
As a CSer: I try to find some common plans with fellow travellers when I visit a new city. I also attend the CS meet if it's happening at the time of my visit.
As a CS guest: I try to be a friendly, flexible and non-complaining guest when I stay with someone.
As a CS Host: I currently live in a shared apartment so it's a bit difficult to host. However, I can try to accommodate on weekends.
Interests
Although cricket is the most favoured sport in India, I prefer other sports such as Formula 1, and Tennis.
I like to play snooker. I am aware of the top players and follow the tournaments on snooker.org.
I am also a fan of US and UK TV series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to make India's favourite beverage i.e. Tea. Whether it is hot or cold outside, most of the Indians drink atleast two cups of tea daily. I can also cook.
I am also willing to share knowledge about India and share some advise to also help you have a safe and pleasant experience in India (if it's in your travel list).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great time, Friendship, and cultural exchange. I am Indian and there are lot of misconceptions about India and Indians. I would like to have a healthy discussion and clear some misconceptions and spread positivity. However, I will also acknowledge the negative criticism. I can also cook.
