About Me

ONLY GIRLS' REQUESTS PLEASE. Read my bio, I'm not a local, lived here for 3+ years coz I'm studying in college here, I can show you my uni and campus life and ahmedabad's student haunts and architecture.

To all couch surfing requests, please don't treat me like a free hostel. I want to meet with you and share something special for the time you're here. So, read my profile before requesting ~~~✓ if you don't pay attention to my simple requests, I will be quick to decline. I get many requests and I cannot respond to everyone.

Hope to meet you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't have a whole lifetime to visit every place I want to, and when I do, I don't love the typical tourist picture-clicking tours. I want to take back a part of the culture of the place, and leave a part of myself behind as well, which I hope to do by meeting new people on Couchsurfing.

I am hoping that these travels help me understand myself better - I am a very anxious person at times, as I tend to stress about every single thing. But drawing is my healing, and I am doing some soul-searching to help me hopefully sooner find peace and be happier and kinder.

Interests

I like architecture and arts, and learning about new cultures. I grew up in India, which is so diverse and multi-cultural and I feel like I take a part of every place with me when I leave. So I'd like to get to know people who can share a part of themselves with me too

Music, Movies, and Books

I keep trying to update but it's pretty much impossible to have a cohesive list

Books / Manga / Literature : Like in general, off the top of my head... How do you make a list of this stuff anyway? I recommend if you haven't already read:

Harry Potter (3, 6,7)
Death Note
Shingeki No Kyojin
Inuyasha
Kuroshitsuji
Macbeth
The Book Thief
All of Roald Dahl
All of Herge (Tintin)
Fahrenheit 451
Dan Brown's stuff - plotwise meh but descriptions and locations wow
A little Life - Hana Yanagihara
Palace of Illusions - Chitra Bannerjee Divakaruni

TV :

Game of Thrones
Black Mirror
Supernatural
Brooklyn 9-9
Modern Family

Movies:

I won't even bother.

Mostly classical and alternative rock, but I can learn to like almost anything. I love reading, fiction and dystopian fiction especially! Movies - love horror, thriller, action and I used to read a lot of manga till about 5 years ago.

I love poetry as well, contemporary, classic, and even good movie dialogues or song lyrics can stick to me forever. Tell me a favorite line from a poem in your language! I'd love to share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I don't know what I'd classify as amazing, but I have many fun stories and memories of my crazy adventures over the past 22 years - I'll share them when we meet, you won't even believe some without proof

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not an expert or an artist, but I like sketching and photography - and my muse is mostly the human form, and plays of light and shadow. I can also talk extensively about my travels and experiences, and share my insights along the way! Especially if you plan to visit my lovely country, hit me up!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I HOST GIRLS :)

I am an amateur artist and I have passable cooking skills in Indian cuisine, and my own Nishi-cuisine. I brew the best tea (different from chai!) And I enjoy trying any new experiments.
