About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn Spanish or French in 6 months !!! :))) I can do it! Depends on what hits me first :P

ABOUT ME

I am a very open and sociable person, that never feels uncomfortable in a group of unfamiliar people. I like meeting new people and sharing experience with them - there is always something to learn from the others. I do some volunteer jobs from time to time to make new friends and just have fun. I enjoy cooking, even though I am not the best cook I can make something out of nothing. I am the type of person that cannot seat on one place and keeps moving onwards. I never give up and don't let others down. I do my best, but don't expect the same from the rest

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

Franklin P. Jones:
"Experience is that marvellous thing that enables you recognize a mistake when you make it again."

Satchel Paige - U.S. baseball player:
"Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I would rate my CouchSurfing experience as a beginner. I think I have used surfing in Italy and in Denmark where I had a housing desperate situation. Ups! But people I met were very sweet and nice to me :) I have also hosted some people, but at the moment due to my parents crashing from time to time at my place I do not do that very often.
Anyhow, I am definitely planning on getting some more experience with CouchSurfing

Interests

I like sports, and I try some new kinds from time to time. I go swimming at my spare time and do some jogging once in a while. But to be honest I prefer yoga and pilates to jogging and even once tried a combination of yoga and kickboxing - unforgettable and very pleasant experience. I have just signed up for Bikram yoga in Copenhagen and really looking forward to it. I take some dance classes as Zumba, LatinMix and Funk at my local fitness centre, and use my bike in terms of transportation if it does not rain :) I go to salsa once a week, where I forget about the reality and get carried away by the music. I am not an expert, but I rely on the dancing partner and apparently doing quite fine. With my friends I go cycling around Copenhagen, managed to try some climbing, what was fun :) Now I am planning to try kite surfing and surfing with my friends in the near future. I have also just bought the roller skates, so hopefully my knees are going to survive the experience

Music, Movies, and Books

I have been moved by the book of Anthony Burgess "A Clockwork Orange".
I loved the book of Erich Maria Remarque "Three Comrades" (German: Drei Kameraden)
Another book that impressed me was "The Perfumer" by Patrick Suskind
I like watching comedies and psychological thrillers. I find such combination quite healthy :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a birth of a foal. I guess this is the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life
The second most amazing thing I have done was jumping naked into the lake after being in a real Russian sauna - simply feels like a newborn
And I have tried rafting on the mountain river in South Korea
Jumped from 10m in Manavgat canyoning, rafting, cabeling. Climed the mountain without any previous climbing experience (but with professionals), learned something new about myself

Teach, Learn, Share

I could cook some Russian cuisine. I bet not many people have visited Russia in their life (tough visa regulations). I would share my experience of different cultures and people I met. About learning - I would find something interesting about every new person I meet, so I am quite open about it

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States
