About Me

‼️UPDATE

✈️🇺🇸 In the USA for a year! (Since May 2017)

❗️UPDATE

✈️🇲🇽Currently I'm in Mexico. (Oct-Dec 2016), but I would happily answer any questions about Hungary or Budapest, so feel free to message me! ☺️

Hey!

My name is Anita, I'm 24 years old and like most of the CS members I have a long bucket list. Since I am a very spontaneous and adventurous person, I can never stay home for a long time. For me it's always a "MUST" to go or travel somewhere. I have already been / lived in some amazing places, but there are so many countries left I want to visit in my life.

I've just finished my Eurotrip. It's actually based on the movie with the same title - if you haven't seen that, you should! :) I've done London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bratislava, Berlin and the beautiful Rome. I also had some extra places like Vienna, Krakow, Florence, Munich (Oktoberfest), Prague and Barcelona. I loved them all!

This summer I spent 3,5 months in the United States working at the OMNI Mount Washington Resort (Bretton Woods, New Hampshire). This was my second summer there and had an amazing and unforgettable time in the States again. Thanks to the multicultural experiences I can see the world in a different and more positive way. In the U.S. I had so many great memories, visited wonderful cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, Miami, Washington etc., jumped off cliffs, rode in trunk, had some road trips, but the best thing during the summer was that international friendship I made with people all around the world. :)

But my biggest adventure has just started now! I've been traveling on the West Coast and Mexico since the end of September. Already visited LA, SFO, Vegas, lots of beautiful canyons (Grand Canyon, Antelope, Bryce etc). Right now I'm traveling around Mexico until December.

My main life goal is finding a place where money and time don't matter. Keep searching... :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope CS will help me to make new friendships all over the world. ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have some really good experiences with CS and it's time to get more!

Interests

Besides traveling, I like taking photos and I also have a blog (endless-bucketlist.blogspot.com) that I always update when I have a little time for that.
I spend most of my free time with my friends, but when I'm alone, I just take a book and start to learn a new language by myself. Now I can speak English, spreche Deutsch y hablo un poco de español. :) Also, I like meeting new people from different countries. There is an exchange (Tandem) program at my university, and I already had Mexican and American Tandem partners. Thanks to this exchange program, we became friends for a life. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste of music is really varying. Catchy pop songs, favorite bands of my childhood or un poco de musica latina... It usually depends on my mood, but thanks to Spotify I can always find the best for me. :D

There are so many good movies I have seen. Just some of them: Gran Torino, The Prestige, The Butterfly Effect, Donnie Darko, Taken, I am Legend, Shutter Island etc. This list is endless. If I want to laugh a bit, I always watch Pink Panther or Funny Money. I can suggest them to everybody!

How about the TV series? I don't really have time to watch them, but if I decide to start one (usually before my final exams, of course! haha), I can't stop until I don't see all of the seasons. My favorites are/ were Fringe, How I met your mother, Prison Break and (shame or not) sometimes I watch latin-american soap opers as well.

My relation to books is the same. If I start to read a good book, I can't put it down. I read that all day, all night, on the bus, metro, train, at home or in class (which would be boring anyway) :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trips are always adventurous and unforgettable, but there is one I will always mention in my life. The first one.

When I was 16, I won a meet&greet ticket for a fanparty organized by my favorite German band. I was totally crazy about their music, so I didn't mind to take a 1000 km long ride from Budapest to Hamburg to meet them. I could have just a few moments with them (while they signed my stuffs), but I won't ever forget that day. That was my first time abroad, the beginning of my adventures. :)

(UPDATE: Summer'15 I met that band in Chicago again. Now I have also a picture with them. Lucky me! :) )
