About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"passion, seek passion!"

ABOUT ME

I'm a romantic being from a Mediterranean island who has been adopted by Scotland. I'm curious and open to the world. I'm trying to be awake and enjoy each moment, hopefully learning some things as I go along and creating a positive impact, in my immediate surroundings at least.

PHILOSOPHY

To love life intensely enough to make it beautiful, hopeful and worthwhile.

Interests

Various, a combination of intellectual and more instinctive. I'm interested in Politics, History and the social sciences in general. I also love reading fiction.
To leave the mind at rest: running, dancing, yoga, drumming! I've started meditating regularly too.
I like walking and discovering cities- I have really gotten into going around Edinburgh on weekends or in in my free time. (My bike is an appendix to my body and I cannot conceive my life without it!)

but I also love and need nature, green spaces and the sea- walking, camping and sailing.. being out basically.

I'm involved in a community project in Edinburgh that some friends and I started a couple of years ago for promoting swapping, re-using and repairing clothes and goods.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books that have marked me before are: Cien años de soledad (García Marquez), Tchekhov, Tolstoy, Saramago, The Grapes of Wrath (Steinbeck). I haven't been reading much fiction lately which is a shame. The last great fiction book I read was Demian by Hesse.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was cycling with a group of mostly strangers who soon became close for a couple of weeks a few summers ago, camping along the way. It was part of a biketour called Ecotopia that goes through Europe every summer and it was incredible.
