About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get back to the Amazon jungle :-D
ABOUT ME
Hmmmm, meet me first and then you´ll see! ;-) :-D
Feliz, agradecido, amigable y siempre listo para ayudar donde es necesario.
Es difícil describir a sí mismo. Yo creo que mejor me conozcan ustedes mismos y verán ;-)
I guess I´m a humble guy, someone who loves and enjoys the life on this beautiful planet ...
... but also someone who tries not to ignore the serious problems of the current globalized world ... o.O
... nevertheless, always smiling! :-) Optimist!
Yeah, actually the best characteristics of myself could be expressed as - a DREAMER - ..., a dreamer with the feet firmly on the earth, though! ;-)
PHILOSOPHY
Open your heart, open your mind ... and learn to listen!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, as I lived in Prague during my studies and then in Liverpool, it was quite difficult to host someone in rented rooms shared with other students. I rather used to meet people outside, inviting them on a beer/coffee/tea ... :-) and guiding them to the places which still remain undiscovered by the tourist industry.
But I always liked hosting random travelers whenever I met some in my hometown.
And while travelling? I just try to be a nice, polite and respectful guest! :-D Learning from the others and sharing a bit of my short life experience. :-)
I just hope to be a good host too, when I settle down one day ... to get back the world´s hospitality . ;-)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sincerely, it doesn´t serve me so much in the areas I visit the most - I mean the indigenous villages and remote little towns in Latin America. But it has helped me several times in the big cities where it´s always more difficult to meet new friends and get trust from the people there.
And I must say, I have met only nice and kind humans so far. :-)
Interests
PEOPLE and their CULTURES ...
LANGUAGES - Well, I´m highly fascinated by the natural human language in its diversity ... and very worried about the recent phenomena of the progressive global language shift! ... That´s why I dedicate myself to the indigenous languages which are considered to be the most endangered ones ... I feel that we as humanity are loosing an unpronounceable treasure ...
TRAVELING - it had been a significant part of my studies and at the end, it has become my lifestyle!
Sharing with brothers and sisters of the human family ... Meeting new people and getting know new places of this fascinating world is always a great lesson as such!
I also like facing the elements :-) ... whenever I´m supposed to deal with my personal limits ... all the time wondering what´s over the horizon! :-)
MUSIC - playing with the vibrations of the world :-) ... I can do something on the guitar, andean flutes and various percussions ... But of course, there is always hope to get better in it. :-D
HISTORY - not only as a study of the past, however I consider important to know it in order to understand better our present ... BUT I guess, even more important is to be concerned about the every day´s history making :-) ... It just depends on everyone whether takes his active part or just becomes a passive object of the other´s activity. ;-) So, I´m interested in history from this point of view. :-)
Anyway, my greatest life´s interest definitely consists in discovering new things, learning new skills and sharing them with others ...
