About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a lover of languages, laughter, good food, traveling, and creativity. I just finished six years of grad school in Boston (studying gut bacteria) and am taking a few months to travel in Central America before starting work in California.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing enables me to learn about the local culture, practice the language, and meet incredible people. I’ve only done it a handful of times but it’s been amazing so far!
Interests
I'm big on aesthetics, dancing, singing, and basically anything that involves artistic or creative expression. I'm also fascinated by science and discovery. I love talking to people about their lives and taking in the local scene.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: anything by John Irving.
Movies: Forrest Gump, Requiem for a dream, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Memento, City of God, Foreign movies in general
Music: My music falls into more or less three categories; mellow acoustic/indie-esque music, music in some other language (Portuguese, West African, Hebrew), or music with an awesome beat that you can't help but shimmy to (i.e. indian drumming, thievery corporation, etc.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I never cease to be amazed by my travels! It's hard to pinpoint exact moments the following experiences are the first to come to mind:
-attending burning man
-ciudad perdida trek in northern Colombia
-exploring infinite markets and the Ganges river in Varanasi
-sleeping in hammocks on a four day boat ride in the amazon river
