ABOUT ME

Hey there,

I am Hendrik. At the moment I am living in Dortmund. I did couchsurfing in Puerto Rico, England, France, Spain, Russia, Germany and Turkey right now. On every single host if have some nice stories in memories. I really want to keep on surfing and hosting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On the one hand I want to share my couch because I know how great it is to spent some time in a city and hanging arround with some locals!

On the other hand I am looking forward to expand my couch-knowledge! :-)

I live close to the city center 15 minutes walk to the trainstation. I can borrow you a bike if you want to!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed mostly in company. Couchsurfing was sometimes even more luxury then a hotel. Thanks to our great hosts!

I hosted a couple of people. Well Bielefeld and Dortmund are not so well known for their touristic potential.

Interests

I am interested in nearly everything- broken bicycles, alphabet soup, flea markets, nearly every sport, traveling, new people, politics aaaaannnd cooking (but I am not a good chef, I am a better eater)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of black humor and open for every kind of movie, always happy if somebody shows me something new.

Music...to hard to discribe my taste of music. Just for example: I like Kings of Convenience, The Whitest Boy Alive, The Rapture, Mimas, Dan Mangan, Memory Tapes, Metronomy...but at the same time I love music of Frank Sinatra, Trombone Shorty...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went my first time on a russian nighttrain from Riga to St. Petersburg. Didn´t expect such crazy conditions. The russian where able to sleep everywhere. At least we found a place to come down...at the luggage dump close to the roof. When I returned to my dorms in Peter I showed some photos of our sleepingsituation to a russian friend. She said: "Well, I know that. Nothing special."

...haha, for me it was amazing, but I guess it depends on your perspective...

Teach, Learn, Share

We can prepare together delicious Westphalian dishes like Mettbrötchen or Bratwurst. It would be a pleasure to introduce you to the culture of German Currywurst in the Ruhrpott!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could definitely have a look at your bike or other stuff. I like to fix stuff in general.
