About Me
Just another wanderlust soul, pursuing valuable cultural exchanges on this platform.
I was born and raised in a small but insanely beautiful country of Slovenia🇸🇮 There are just 2 million of us, we might be rare but we do know how to make a lasting impression😀
My name is derived from a Latin word that means ''snow'' but of course my rebellious nature made me to become a person who would always pick summer over winter. I consider myself to be adventurous, I am always happy to try new things and push myself out of my comfort zone. On the other hand, as an introverted extrovert, I cherish peaceful time spent alone in order to recharge myself. Traveling is my greatest passion in life and I believe that the best kind of sightseeing is people watching. The art of observation has helped me sharpen and deepen my curiosity. Above all, it has helped me learn more about others, as well as myself. I really enjoy photography although I only do it for fun, simply using my phone camera. I aspire to take more portraits of people and capture spontaneous moments on my travels.
Regarding my professional life, I am passionate about environmental and social issues, hoping to combine work in those two fields someday.
Currently I am pursuing my dream of traveling around the world. I have been on the road since October 2023. At the moment I am travelling in Japan🤯
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I say I want to travel, I mean I want to explore another country and become part of it. And the best way to immerse yourself in a new culture is by meeting locals. I enjoy getting to know their culture, their religion, their language and dialects, their cuisine. I also can't get enough from listening to their life stories and travel experiences. The deep and honest conversations I had with my guests and hosts have been some of the most inspiring. Therefore hotels and holiday tour packages will never be able to offer me a genuine experience of a place. I feel like they shelter you from the realities and leave you distanced from the local people. The further away I have travelled from the top tourist attractions, the more people welcomed me with their open arms and that is what matters most to me, to find a home away from home. I want to look at a map and be able to remember how I was transformed by the places I’ve been to, the things I’ve seen and the people I’ve met.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Very extensive and diverse music taste that ranges from "You need to listen to this!" to "I know, please don't judge me."
MOVIES: As a self-proclaimed film critic, I'm very passionate about films and TV series. I mostly enjoy watching dramas, biopics, historical and thriller films. I become an uncontrollable binge-watcher once I find a good TV series.
BOOKS: Bookworm at heart, although this adulting thing is sometimes making it really hard for me to cultivate a consistent reading habit.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
❋ Volunteered at Rio Olympics.
❋ Hitchhiked the Balkan Coast.
❋ Ran a marathon.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach you about Slovenian culture and cuisine, Romance languages, some baking and cooking.
Would love to learn and practice languages, dancing, guitar or piano playing. Would also be keen to improve my terrible skiing technique.
Happy to share open heart conversations, good laughs, recipe ideas, language exchanges, travel tips.
