About Me
Hello!
I am a soon-to-be graduate student studying Transportation Technology and Policy at UC Davis. Before I begin studying, I am taking the summer off to travel around Europe and the USA with my significant other, who will also be starting a graduate program this fall!
We are both avid hikers and enjoy backpacking, skiing, climbing, and biking in California, particularly the Lake Tahoe region and the Sierra Nevada mountains. We hope to spend most of our time this summer hiking in the Alps (primarily Switzerland) and climbing in the Cascades (Oregon and Washington) and Rockies (Montana, Colorado, Utah).
You can see our blog at www.njpadventures.com!
We have never hosted through Couchsurfing before, but hope to do so when we return to having a home!
Nick
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best trips are the ones with local knowledge and local friends! We are hoping to meet new people, make new friends, and get to see a more personal side of our travel destinations than we would get out of a hotel experience.

Teach, Learn, Share
Claire and I both have professional backgrounds working in renewable energy and greenhouse gas emissions policy in California, which is aggressively pursuing a transition to clean energy in the electric sector, industry, and transportation. We would love to meet and talk with people in other states and countries who work in this industry to share our experience and learn about yours.
