About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding balance and joy

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone! Two biggest things about me is that I'm an artist and I am a dancer. I love making things and that's when I am most alive. I've been making furniture for past couple of years but now I've started making jewellery as well. And I dance a lot! My greatest passion is tango. I've only been dancing in Sweden and England so far (the countries I lived in) but I'm looking forward to dacning internationally and meeting all the lovely dancers out there. I also dance Lindy Hop, which I am relatively new to – just been practicing for over a a year. But It's great fun too.

I also love my yoga lifestyle. I do yoga almost every day, trying to integrate it with my dance practice and meditation. I am a healthy and friendly vegan. I love cooking and baking, although I've been pretty much off sugar for half a year so I haven't done much baking since then. I've even done a meditation retreat once in Sweden, which was a great experience, I'd like to do that again.
I love cooking delicious meals for my friends always try to make something nice for my hosts if the situation allows.

I read a lot of books. A lot of books about mindfulness, a bit of fiction and not enough books about art.

I travel a lot, mainly to see friends, exhibitions and since recently – for dancing as well. I would like to travel more to places with beautiful nature though.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live
Work to live, don't live to work

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually couchsurf when I go abroad. And I used to have a couch but then I had to start sharing my house with a lodger and so I can no longer host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing in Berlin, Paris and Kyoto, Manchester, New York, Rotterdam, Amsterdam. I also hosted people from all around in Sweden and England. It's a wonderful thing.

WHY I DON'T GET VERIFIED

I signed up to CouchSurfing years ago and since had a host of lovely experiences both hosting and staying with people all over the world. It was free back then. Now they want me to pay for it. As if paying a fee makes me a better, more trustworthy person. I don't think it does, any kind of person can pay, that doesn't make them reliable. I believe in my intuition, in people showing who they are and when they do you can always tell. Trust yourself and be keen to trust others. No fee required.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ending up in Tibet as a surprise trip to China organised by a couple of friends was wonderful. i was standing in this little village calling my mother in the middle of the night screaming "Do you know where I am? TIBET!"

Teach, Learn, Share

I know couple of languages. I can teach you that! I can teach you dancing or yoga, if you'd like that. Anything about art and photography and especially vegan cooking. But the best thing is genuine moments of connection with people – I open to connect and share my passion for living and giving.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love trying stuff from other countries I have never tried. And it's customary for me to bring gifts to people who extend their kindness to me. Please let me know if you want to try something from the country I'm traveling from. I love cooking for others, spreading the love of good vegan food

I'd love to come out into your city with you where we can share couple of stories and our life's experiences. Connecting to people wherever they're from is the best thing I know!
