I would like to learn and expand my view of the world. I've always loved to explore, but got caught up working for a living that I now realize I am missing a lot of exciting things out there. I'm planning a solo trip this year (my first!) and it would be great to kick it off with new friends here!

Interests

Exploring the world. Literature, the arts, photography, old records. I also do volunteer work for kids, and have personal advocacies that cover the environment, education, gender equality, and animal rights. Don't let these fool you though-- I can be quite fun at parties! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Current playlist includes Daughter, M83, Nina Simone, Wet, Feist, Meg Myers, Broods, Daft Punk, Prince, Billie Holiday, and the occasional French song that can make any afternoon lovely.

My favourite movie is Wong Kar Wai's In the Mood for Love. I am a fan of Studio Ghibli movies too.

My current favorite author is Haruki Murakami. I have a lot of unread books just waiting for me to come to my senses and read them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with whale sharks in Donsol, Sorsogon. An absolutely enchanting experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I happen to like reading stories to kids. :) I also used to teach English to high school kids before. I have this plan to build a library for less-privileged kids in the future - I hope to be able to do it in 5 years time with my best friends!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm good with pets, can help with the chores, can teach you a new language (English, Tagalog, a local dialect), and can promise to return the favour should you come visit!
