Hi,

My name is Kim and I'm french. I'm a musician (guitar and flute) and a traveler. At the moment I'm in India to learn Hindustani classical music and the bansuri (indian flute).

Before I made many different things. I have a degree in cinema and I used to teach in a primary school for a year. Finally I realized that what I really wanted was to play music, to travel, to meet new friends and to discover the beauties of our beautiful Earth...

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I really like the philosophy of Couchsurfing, it is one of the best ways to bring every inhabitants of this planet closer. In a way, this program works for Peace all around the world.

I've already hosted some couchsurfers and I've been hosted few times too and every time I had very nice and beautiful experiences.

Interessen

I'm trying to live my life in the present, to listen to my heart and to do what I really want.

I'm fond of music, cinema, literature and philosophy, but also in travelling and meeting new people. I think that it is very important to be active and to live our own experience. It is a way to fulfill yourself.

I'm also a follower of the Slow Life. Nowadays, everything is going so fast and in our societies many people spend their time running. I don't ! I don't want to be stressed. I want to take my time and to enjoy Life.

Otherwise, I'm a Nature lover. I really love hiking in the wild, horse-riding but also hiking on a bicycle or on a kayak.

I like to juggle too and I just discover the slackline. I really enjoy it !

I'm also a hitchhiker. Couchsurfing and hitchhiking have a quiet similar philosophy. I've always met beautiful person by doing those both things.

Finally, I'm very interested in alternatives ways of life as living in a community, and I'm very curious to know more about it and to experiment it.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

As a teenager I was fond of Rock music from the 60's and the 70's : Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana, Sweet Smoke, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, Yes, King Crimson, Magma...

Then I discovered Jazz and Opera. One of my favorite jazz man is John Coltrane. But I really love Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan...
About Opera and Classical music, I fell in love with Tchaikovsky and Chopin.

I had also a long Reggae period : Bob Marley, Max Romeo, The Abyssinians, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Groundation, Israel Vibration...

And then I was interested in World music, especially musics from Africa (Rokia Traore, Mamady Keita...) and India (Pt Ravi Shankar, Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia, Zakir Hussain...).

So now I listen to all that different kind of music ; it depends on my mood.

About cinema, I think that my favorite movie is "2046" by Wong Kar-Wai. But I'm also very fond of directors as Emir Kusturica, Tony Gatlif, Satyajit Ray, Francois Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, Stanley Kubrick, Frederick Wiseman, Jean Rouch...

About literature, I'm fond of writers as Louis-Ferdinand Celine, Guy de Maupassant, D.A.F. de Sade, Barjavel, Rabindranath Tagore, Nicolas Bouvier, Alexandra David-Neel...

Sharing is the most important concept. By doing it, you'll teach and you'll learn so many things !

We are all eternal students. Every day we learn a little bit more, in books, in movies, on internet, in our relationships... but knowledge is infinite ! Till our End we will learn. This is the reason that Life is so exciting !

I'm sure that every one has something special to share.
