Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live as deeply as I can.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Portland, OR transplant working on my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, with a certificate in Ecopsychology. I'd like to focus on working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. My heart is a wandering heart with a thirst to see the world, but this work and this city have captured me and become my home to return to from my travels.
My other loves are cooking, gardening, great books, my cat, my backyard chickens, running, climbing, and general (mis)adventuring.
PHILOSOPHY
If not now, when?
AND
If it's not hell yes! it's no.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my first venture into couch surfing -- I'm planning a trip to meet up with a friend in Iceland this summer and we're hoping to find a great place to stay and meet awesome people in Reykjavik before taking off to drive the Ring Road. We're so excited!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: at the moment I've just discovered Of Monsters and Men and have been listening to them on repeat. Other music staples are: Shakira, Peter Fox, Gogol Bordello, Michael Franti, anything I can dance to, really.
Reading: mostly for school these days but some of my favorites are Barbara Kingsolver, Neil Gaiman, Mary Oliver, Chris Hedges, and The Four Agreements.
Movies: mostly I just fall asleep when I watch them, but Amelie and Chocolat I could watch again and again.
