ABOUT ME

I am an often confused, sometimes intelligent but mostly just weird young person trying to have a most excellent existence. I'm a language, music, sci-fi, fantasy and social justice nerd who thinks that a good time should either involve a musical, dice or a third world country. I'm a liberal-queer-Catholic at a tiny little hippie college in the Pacific Northwest, and loving every minute of my supposedly contradictory life. I'm hopelessly addicted to the internet.

PHILOSOPHY

I subscribe to the Kate Bornstein philsophy:
"Do anything you feel you need to do to stay alive, anything. Fuck legality, fuck morality. The only thing that makes that work is “Don’t be mean.” There are all kinds of ways to deal with people who don’t want you to do things, but if you’re not being mean to anybody, my god, do whatever you need to do to make life worth living. That’s the important thing."

Interests

Travelling, giggling, and lots of awesomeness. Eventually, a Master of Education and a nice exciting job in teaching, preferably somewhere in Latin America. I come from a proud line of awesome teachers, and fell in love with Central America when I lived in El Salvador.

I'm a musician (bassist and singer), and like to think I'm pretty good at it. I can usually communicate in Spanish. Oh, and I crochet. and occasionally make things out of duct tape.
