ABOUT ME

(2017) I started a 1 year, around the world trip, 2 years ago.. and I got stuck in Asia/Australia. I've lived in Australia for a year and am ready to move on to South America! I'm very outdoorsy. Very Active and optimistic. I use to call myself high energy but the world has tamed me quite a bit. Or was it just turning 28 and realizing my body cannot ignore the hangover anymore :'(

Back home before I left on the journey of life, I was a Surgery First assist at Stanford University. I love photography, snowboarding, surfing, DANCING, cooking & ROCK CLIMBING! I'm pretty much addicted (like, really addicted). Oh, and Australia's taught me to pour a decent cafe latte lol

PHILOSOPHY

Glass three-quarters full.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only surfed a few times but I settle back home I will definitely share my space with other travelers :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed in Chiba, Japan. About 40 minutes east of Tokyo for a few days with Ahna a grade school teacher.

Had mexican food at a restaurant in Manila, Philippines with a film maker named Jen who works for a non-profit sharing stories of people around the islands.

Also had lunch and a following dinner with Zoe, a flight attendant in Beijing, China. She showed me where to get the best dumplings then dinner at this authentic southern China restaurant, it was yummmmy!

In Amritsar, India, my then girlfriend and I stayed with a family man nick named Jolly :) He was very pleasant and enjoys traveling. His wife and daughter were also very awesome as I shared drinks with them in the evening talking about life & experiences. It was a very memorable short stay but I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other again :)

In northern India, Rishikesh, we stayed with a lady managing a wellness center/retreat for yoga. Aarti was very kind and gave us our own room in the hotel. She was sooo pleasant and easy to be around. I still chat with her as of this day on Whatsapp :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love indie. Intuitive pop. Alternative rock. House. But don't get me wrong, I grew up in the Bay Area, California and Hip Hop pumps through my veins. Avid movie watcher. I dislike watching TV. Book at the moment: Shantaram

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just came back from a Pediatric Orthopedic Medical Mission in Ecuador where we did surgery on 33 kids in 5 days. It was soo tiring but extremely rewarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cheers-ing your drinks came from medieval times where you'd smash your goblet into another mans, spilling into each others. Saying, I am not poisoning you.. you are not poisoning me. Respect.

"I've never broken a bone." - Is what was on here before recently updating it. Ask me about this "NEVER breaking a bone" thing... story is nuts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Story. Good conversation. I cook. I love clean and tidy. Energy. Meditation. Hobbies. Food during a picnic..

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, United States
