I usually have a plan, but detours are my weakness. Smiling comes naturally, but I also tend to make faces at people when I'm thinking. I have a passion for science and a love for education. When I'm finished with my volunteer service, I'll be heading back to grad school - barring any detours ;) .

What I see with Couchsurfing is people getting to share the bits of their lives that they're are proud of and enjoy the most. What could be better? Sometimes it's doing something they haven't since they were kids. Sometimes it's experiencing a place as a newcomer themselves. Sometimes it's one-on-one brunch conversations with a new person or a night out with a local friends. I feel very lucky to have been a part of some such experiences, and to have shared the Couchsurfing experience with my friends as well!

I used to work at a museum so I'm always down to check one out! Green rooftop bars! Places that focus on sustainability! LOVE the water - always up for a snorkel or a dive. I'm hoping to be a Master Diver at some point! If there's a festival you can count me in! I also like to try social dancing (salsa, swing, contra), usually paired with friends, drinks, and laughs.
