ABOUT ME
I initally got the travel bug studying in Maastricht my Junior (3rd) year at university and traveled around Western Europe a bit. After graduating, I took a position working in London for a year. After my UK visa expired, I took a couple months to explore Central and Eastern Europe. Shortly after that, it was off to Ecuador and Colombia for two months to study Spanish and travel. Now that I'm somewhat settled in Colorado, I try to take a month or so every 6 months or year to go travel.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a pretty laid-back guy, but try to live each day to the fullest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In Kyiv (Kiev) with Yuriy and his girlfriend Julia in their dorm. It was great just hanging out and experiencing Ukrainian college life - not that different from US college life, except that their dorm was in the woods an hour away from campus and there were only two working showers for 200 students!
Interests
Traveling, technology, sports (American Football, Rugby, Ice Hockey, Soccer/Football, Skiing, many others) meeting new people and exploring new places, anything outdoors, and sometimes cooking (I make a mean pineapple chili and jambalaya.)

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmmm . . . really anything I can get my hands on for books recently. For music, nothing beats Jack Johnson or Ben Harper for falling asleep (especially on a bus/train), or just chilling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tracking down my long lost family in Ukraine, and running with the bulls during the San Fermin festival (Pamplona)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty good with computers and technology, so if you're ready to chuck your computer out the window or still can't figure out your new mp3 player, I might be able to help.
Things I'd like to learn - would really like to improve my Spanish and Ukrainian (although might have to work on Russian instead, as it's pretty difficult to find teachers/materials for Ukrainian outside of Ukraine), to surf, wakeboard, scuba dive, more about carpentry/building things, and just about anything and everything else - I think you should never stop learning.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine
Countries I’ve Lived In
