About Me
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and was studying Chinese and Linguistics. I just came back from a two month backpacking trip in China, where I have learned the ways of CS, and look forward to doing it again. I consider myself very sociable and friendly, but I can be low maintenance and independent if you need me to be. I love sharing CS stories and experiences too! I'm currently working as a pilot for a private jet charter company, and will have a month off from work in May, and am planning on exploring Vietnam. Let me know if you have any suggestions, stories, must go places etc!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am mainly a surfer, as my landlord doesn't allow couch surfers currently :/ but I'm trying to change his mind.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Incredible experience surfing; it gives me hope for all of humanity.
Interests
One of my favorite things in the world to do is fly. I have my commercial pilot's license in the United States, and worked hard to get where I am now, flying jets for a living. I graduated college a year and a half earlier than normal to save money and finance my flying licenses.
I love to eat food. I will eat anything you put in front of me. Nothing in my travels has spooked me yet. Do you think you can?
I also love to play and compose music when I have the time and energy. I went to an arts high school where I studied jazz playing the saxophone, and have gotten some incredible opportunities while there to play with important and famous musicians in the jazz realm and beyond. When at home in the states (California), I lead my own electronic instrumental jazz/funk group, and also moonlight in some other bands when I have the time.
Getting lost in nature is pretty fun too.
I like to do a lot of things, so feel free to ask me if you want, I do way more things than I have the patience to write about here.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to listen to jazz, I can help you expand your knowledge if you'd like. It's an interesting art form. Besides that I listen to hip hop, R&B, classical, funk, reggae, pretty much anything, you name it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had an electrical system failure while flying solo when I was 16, which kind of put life into perspective.
Ask me, I don't want to type too much on here!
Flying with the door open every day and watching people drop out for my last job flying skydivers was pretty fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I learn from all people, and always enjoy a good story. I especially love people who are open to meeting people from other countries to share experiences, break down stereotypes, and ultimately have a good time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel experiences, crazy stories from the road in my travels and job, and I can share my cooking skills, some jokes, and most importantly share a good time :)
