CURRENT MISSION

I currently run a business from home generating leads for insurance agents. Not glamourous, but it pays well and allows me to employ friends. It also frees my time to play music.

ABOUT ME

I've been playing piano since I was 5, drums since I was 11, which is still my main love, guitar since I was 14 and bass since 18. I produce acts that I believe in, practically never make money in doing so, so it really is a labor of love. I have an interest in etymology as a source of Spiritual guidance. I find the images that I'm able to discover there quite useful in not only understanding the world around me and inside of me, but to understand others and help them understand themselves. My greatest joy comes from sharing experiences of all sorts, but particularly those that address the "spiritual restlessness" that I believe everyone possesses. There are so many takes on this and I have always benefited from other people's experience in this regard. Obviously, I'm a big music fan and my tastes are somewhat eclectic. I love blues, rock, funk, classical, African, Bebop. I'm currently listening to The Hives, Them Crooked Vultures, Charles Mingus and have been learning how to play Barbers Adagio for Strings on the keyboard.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone is born with an individual spirit, or potential. The development of this potential is synonymous with getting to know oneself. As one knows oneself, one is in fact learning about Creation and as a natural result, about the Creator Himself. As long as one is faithful to this process and uses the time to help others, since we all are born with this spiritual restlessness, one is being faithful to the purpose of Life.

I am currently the beneficiary of a CS community member. Blown away by his hospitality and trust. I plan to pay it forward once I get settled in Phoenix.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, music don't even get me started. From Bach to ZZTop is the best I could say hahahaha. I'm not a big country or rap music fan. The great movies: Godfather 1 and 2 (cummon the third one was weak) Hellraiser 1 and 2, Manon of the Spring, Swimming With Sharks (anything Kevin Spacey is in is the bomb), Memento, anything at all by Charlie Chaplin, Lorenzo's Oil.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I met Dave Weckl. The drummer for Chick Corea's band. I hung out with him and had pizza with him and a friend in his hotel room. One of the sweetest guys ever. That was a thrill. I got to open for the Giraffes, a band I'm a big fan of. Those guys are so sweet. I met Steve Smith while attending Berklee. I associate the most "amazing" experiences of my life with people I've met more than places I've seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach music be it guitar, bass, drums, music theory, etc. I also speak 2 languages fluently and the greatest, I feel, of what I have to share is the study of Logosophy.
