About Me

I love making things, normally on the computer and I am always out to learn something new, provided it's not calculus.

Originally from Nebraska, but I call Toronto home now.

If you’re in Toronto, hit me up, I love playing tour guide :)

I believe that everyone has a story to tell, absolutely everyone. I want to hear as many as I can. So how about we grab a beer?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mainly use Couchsurfing as a means of meeting people through event and what not. I've been to a lot of awesome meetups and adventures. Everyone I meet is just wonderful and so open.

Interests

Watch TV, read, browse Wikipedia. I love talking about view points and what people would do in X situation. Also cards.

I love education and learning new things. My shtick right now is urbanism, especially public transit systems.

I try to eat as much as possible. Food is just so good.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always been more of a TV person, that list is long:
Mad Men, The Walking Dead, The Office, Breaking Bad, The Killing, The Booth at the End, Hell on Wheels, Parks and Rec, Community, Raising Hope, House of Cards, 30 Rock.

I love music even more than TV. I'm a frequent visitor of Hype Machine, We Are Hunted, and Pandora. You can check my out on Spotify under the username noahtkoch. I love all sorts of music, Indie, Pop, Some Rock, 60s, Bluegrass, US/Canadian Folk, Alternative, Hip Hop, a little bit of rap.

My bookshelf is mainly informational, Freakonomics, Straphangers, Naked Economics, The Signal and the Noise, A Short History of Nearly Everything, and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Isn't everything amazing? :)
- Got a job that allows be to work remote
- Celebrated New Years with a small group of wonderful Italians
- Met another Nebraskan while in a State park in Oregon
- Got a passport
- Moved to Canada
- Talked to some of the most wonderful, brilliant people with so many stories and so many things to teach. Some at bars, some through couchsurfing, and a few just on the street.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a web developer, I can talk your ear off about languages and the web itself. But I also have this strange fascination with transit systems and tall buildings.

I want to learn about anything! Opinions, cultures, fashion advice. Throw it at me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, a beer, just not my toothbrush.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Morocco, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
