About Me

Hey, I’m Noah! I left Montana with a one-way ticket and a plan to explore the world before I settle on a homestead of my own. I believe in being generative— there isn’t a more rewarding way for me to travel or live my life than working and living with the communities and people I am learning about and connecting with! I’m drawn to deep conversations, hands-on work, and the kind of connections that make us better people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m passionate about living fully and authentically, and I feel that meaningful exchanges have the potential to create real positive change in the world. Staying with you guys, opposed to a hotel/hostel/apartment, opens the door for authenticity and the meaningful exchanges that I think make life worth living.

Interests

I like doing anything outdoors, anything physical, artsy stuff, writing letters, games with others, linguistics, carpentry, tons! I’m sure we can find some common interests!

  • traveling
  • cycling
  • hiking
  • rock climbing
  • philosophy
  • linguistics
  • permaculture
  • farming
  • country dancing
  • sustainable agriculture

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like pretty much any movies some comfort movies for me are:
Fried Green Tomatoes, Studio Ghibli, Coraline, Matilda, Maurice, Thelma & Louise

Music: Love all sorts of music… My Artists right now:
Oracle sisters, Marty Robbins, First Aid kit

Books: I usually read educationally books, but love to get into nonfiction sometimes… I am reading the princess bride right now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve built a life I’m proud of. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve stayed true to myself, built community, and kept moving forward while holding onto kindness and empathy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I expect that each person has different things to teach/learn/share and with each new person I will have something unique to offer… I am excited to connect and see what we can make together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love being part of a space in a meaningful way, whether that’s through cooking, baking, cleaning, organizing, or just lending a hand wherever it’s needed. I’ve worked in all kinds of fields—carpentry, IT, farming, politics, childcare, and emergency services—so I’m pretty adaptable and always happy to learn. More than anything, I just want to contribute and be a helpful presence in whatever way makes sense for you.
