À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
PCT 2013
ABOUT ME
Well here's the big picture: I grew up in Rochester, NY, went to SUNY Geneseo and graduated with an anthropology degree specializing in archaeology. Then I did about a year of masonry followed by some archaeology at some awesome sites in southern Ohio. Then, I moved to Burlington to work for a restoration company. I'll be attempting a PCT thru hike in 2013 so West coast here I come!
PHILOSOPHY
My current philosophy is to always be learning and developing my skills at something. Whether it be talking to some one new, learning or practicing a new skill, or reading, I believe in bettering myself in some way at all times. Life's too short to do otherwise.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had a blast surfing over the past few years. However, I was never in a position to host during that time. Recently that has changed and now it's time for me to give back, so come surf my couch people!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed my way across America while driving back from Seattle. I also couchsurfed in Burlington, VT to get a feel for the city before deciding to move here. Clearly, my hosts were convincing.
Centres d'intérêt
I'll do just about any outdoors activity. I've spent a good amount of time backpacking and hiking in the Adirondacks and in California.
My music collection is my most prized possession. I play guitar and a bit of banjo.
I love food - if you surf with me we're going to eat and drink many good things.
I love home brewing and craft beer in general.
I like working with my hands - I'm fairly experienced with a variety of trades and I'm looking to expand my knowledge at all times.
Prehistoric timber architecture of the Ohio Hopewell Indians - this is better discussed over a beer.
I'm always plotting my next big adventure. The past couple years of my life have been full of them, they've turned into a major part of my life.

Anecdote
I like movies but I can't really recall any that have changed my life.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Drove across the country twice and have hit almost all the National Parks.
Backpacked and hitched California for a month, including the Redwoods, PCT, and Yosemite.
Saw Neil Young play.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
If you're coming through town on a weekend there's a good chance I'll be making beer or building something, both of which are activities that I would be more than happy to include you in or pause them and go do other things. If you play tunes I could teach you a few that I know.
I love learning new skills of any sort. Teach me something new!
