About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a glass half full type of guy, with an open and accepting outlook on the many different walks of life. I am interested in continuing my education but I have found it more rewarding and cheaper to do so outside of the classroom. I often find myself discussing topics which are philosophical and/or those which pertain to life, love, history and happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to offer a safe place to stay for people. I know when I travel I need help from the global community and as a member of that community I better be paying it forward or else the system falls apart. We all need to give a little to get a little
Interests
Interests involve sports, I am a very physically active individual and like to surf, slackline, bike, do yoga, play Frisbee, basketball, and any number of other outdoor activities (always up for learning something new too!). I love hiking and trekking, exploring the outdoors is one of my favorite things to do. I truly value another persons perspective and whether or not I agree it is always a positive thing to at least hear someone out. I enjoy philosophy, business, history, along with most academic fields and I also like working with my hands whether it be construction or art.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not very picky but love reggae and electronic music but seriously anything is good. I'm not a huge movie or tv guy but game of thrones is great and I liked The Big Short, Straight out of Compton, and The Princess Bride to name a few. Books are Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, much of Hemingway, and I'm always looking for a new suggestion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 2015 I spent 3 months riding my bicycle from New York to California. It was an amazing experience and changed my perspective on much of the United States. I would recommend bike touring to everyone, it is really the best way to get to know a place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about sustainability, health, vegetarian diets, philosophy, and the US. If you are an outdoors type of person I can teach to surf, slack line, play basket ball and water polo. Also photography and video for those who are interested.
I do a lot of dance now and though I won't teach you to dance I will certainly encourage you to dance and want to dance with you. I also do a lot of meditation and work around authentic relating. If those are totally new to you but you are interested I'd love to share. If you have experiences with those things then I'd still love to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Let's cook some great dinners (I'll cook), talk about each others back grounds and experiences. I'll tell you about life in California, my move to New York and then to China and whatever else interests you in between. Also, if I have my slack line with me then let's hit the park!
