ABOUT ME

I am a Canadian, but consider myself a global citizen. I'm easy going and find I can talk and relate to all kinds of people. I love learning new ideas, cultures and languages.

I love to dance, go to live music and party... but there is also so much more in life than partying.

I have lived a beautiful life so far and I'm grateful for all the experiences, challenges, lessons and triumphs that I have had.

I am now awakening to a new stage of life and I'm excited about my dreams! Recording music, writing and sharing my experiences, meeting new friends everywhere.

I am vegetarian and try my best to minimize my impact on our precious environment.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that when we follow our heart and our passion, anything in the world is possible. Our mind is incredibly powerful. We are so much more than we think.

I believe we create peace in the world by finding peace in ourselves. Love what is ahead by loving what has come before.

Spirituality is so much greater than religion.

I try to see the perfection in everything and strive to spread love and beauty in everything I do.

My wish is for everyone to find their truth, find what they love, find peace in themselves and find happiness by following their dreams. Follow no one. Be your own master.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love it. Nothing but beautiful people I've met and positive experiences I've had. Couch surfed in many places before. But 'officially' with this site, I've surfed in Brazil and Canada. It's great!

Interests

My passion lies in writing, recording music and painting.
I love to sail, hike, ski, and snowboard. I teach and guide meditation, and enjoy yoga. I organize multimedia events across Canada for my friend from Holland who is an artist. I love to cook - shall we share a beautiful meal?

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Alchemist (and lots of books by Paulo Coelho), Eckhart Tolle's work, Life of Pi, Jitterbug Perfume, Celestine Prophecy, Four Agreements, Lord of the Rings, um.. Harry Potter

Music: Almost all music! I love music so much... let's share some! I guess my biggest influences are probably Moby, Enya, Air, Enigma and all music from Cafe del Mar

Movies: I like watching movies but it's hard to say favorites.. depends on the mood! I like movies with deep meanings that touch you, and I like adventure movies just for fun, and I like comedy moves just for a laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many amazing things in life. How can it be summed in one paragraph? I have seen amazing places in the world, and I have experienced amazing places in my mind and soul.

One experience that I don't want to repeat but was amazing: I was lost at sea off the coast of Australia. Helpless and drifting on a broken sailboat, watching the stars, the sparkles in the water, and coming to a place of gratitude for my life so far. Not knowing if I would ever speak to my friends and family again. And then the rush of emotions upon being found by the Coast Guard Rescue.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - the beauty within everyone. Fear is illusion. OK, on a less philosophical note, maybe cooking, sailing.

Learn - new culture, new language. I want to learn Portuguese for starters.
