One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Interpreting English to Chinese between the Los Angeles Vice Mayor and Kaohsiung City Mayor at an international event.

Teach, Learn, Share

MUSIC: Each instrument is an expression of the soul. I can teach ukulele, piano, and marimba. I'm learning guitar currently, and would love to learn more techniques, as I'm still very much a beginner. Jam sessions and improvisational songs are my forte.

QIGONG: qigong is a life-nourishing energy practice that has its roots in China. Many elements are similar to Taichi. The practice consists of movements and breathing work designed to let energy flow through meridian channels and fix blockages. This practice has thousands of different lineages, many of which were purged during the cultural revolution. I've had the opportunity to study parts of one such lineage during my time in China, and I would love to share the practice, as it has been so beneficial for my health.

LANGUAGE: I'm passionate about language learning. I'm drawn towards any opportunity to learn a new language, even if it's just a phrase or two. I'm currently studying Chinese and Taiwanese. I'm especially interested in techniques to learn and practice languages more efficiently.
