About Me

UPDATE (SUMMER 2019)
I am currently traveling and unable to host.

CONTACT
I forget to check couchsurfing for long periods of time so if you need a place to crash, send a request and then call or text: (678)663-7887

ABOUT ME
I am a yeahsayer, not driven by the mundane, but rather by dreams and wonder, and the tools to weave them into reality! I'm always excited to encourage others to pursue their passions.

A sunken monument, an active volcano, 3000 year old fortress ruins atop a desert mountain; without their history, their future, the stories bringing these places to life, they're just a few more nifty views.

I don't travel for the moments I might have, rather the moments I might share, and the stories and insights we might exchange.

PHILOSOPHY
The temptations of today are not worth sacrificing the potentials of tomorrow.
The path to a healthier sustainable future is an arduous, multi-generation long journey.
It requires active thought and effort, and may cost us some short term pleasures, but the long term yield will be far greater. Respecting this planet and treating it with care is everyone's responsibility. I recognize that I must uphold those responsibilities even if/when those around me do not.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always down to host guests when I can!
I know when I was traveling, the hosts I stayed with made my travels wonderful.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to someone else's travel experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In a brief series of misunderstandings, I strapped a couch to a surfboard.
Terrible decision.
Would definitely do again.

Interests

I'm into all manner of low to high adventure outdoorsy activities, various flow and balance arts, storytelling and drum circles, anything cardiovascularly intensive, anything theatrical, cooking healthy foods, and hanging out with animals, especially cats, new technology and the advancements thereof, in particular Virtual and Augmented reality or anything pertaining to Cybernetics.
My inner goat manifests with the opportunity to climb atop and stand on things.
I'm always down to delve into some good artistic collaboration!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Like Tim Burton, Miyazaki, Tarantino, and Del Toro films.
Comedies are tragic, but Disney films are magnificent.
Horror movies are hilarious, and reality TV is horrifying.
Nothing is realer than Sci-Fi/Fantasy Adventure.
Science and Nature Documentaries are cool too.

Books:
The Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda, The Iliad and The Odyssey, A Wizard of Earthsea, A series of Unfortunate Events, Plato's The Republic, On Liberty, Utilitarianism, The Night Circus.

Music:
Instrumental jamming; jazz; funk; power metal; celtic folk; taiko; classical orchestral; various obscure electronic subgenres; ambient soundscapes

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taglit (Birthright Israel).
A 10 day trip all around Israel, delving into it's history, culture, wildlife.
I am forever grateful for the opportunity.

Teach, Learn, Share

CAN TEACH/SHARE:
I've got a wide array of odd hobbies and talents. Not sure how well I could teach them.
I could totally teach you how to cat. Of this, I am certain.

LEARN:
In particular, I'd love to learn how to ride a horse.
Wilderness survival skills.
Languages.
Perspective.
Teach me anything and everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I travel, I'm generally willing to offer my skills, or energy to others, only asking that the kindness be paid forward.
I'm going to do my best to leave a trail of inspiration, fresh perspective, and benevolence wherever I go.
I pick up cigarette butts and other garbage and recyclables from forests and beaches.
I will cook for you if you let me.
