About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Skill-building and thrill-seeking

ABOUT ME

I'm a perpetually curious person, an outdoorsman, I try to have a global view, and always up for a challenge. I guess that's how I ended up being an ecology grad student.

PHILOSOPHY

Still working it out, and expecting to keep working it out for a long time...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm ending a long time on the road, but when I settle down I hope to do more with my local CS group.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing saved my life traveling alone in China - the community supported me when I was feeling most alone and confused.

Interests

Biking, hiking, beer brewing, fermentation of all sorts, ecology, cooking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode on the back of a motorcycle to the last town in India before the Tibet border, surviving on the kindness of strangers all the way!

Teach, Learn, Share

Travel tip: A plastic soap dish makes an excellent hard case and disguise for a digital camera.

Also, wikitravel is a GREAT resource when you're tired of giving Lonely Planet money.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, India, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nepal

Countries I’ve Lived In

Israel, United States
