My name is Niall, I am 27 y/o Irish living in Lyall Bay, Wellington. I work as a Civil Engineer in Wellington CBD. I live with two Kiwi guys. I arrived to New Zealand in November 2018 and plan to stay here much longer. I surf as much as I can and so spin fire staff and poi as a hobby.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I arrived and started my travels around New Zealand for 6 months, I got the chance to meet some amazing people and found a great place to stay right beside the ocean. I currently live with 2 Kiwis who also surf and since we live right beside the ocean we are able to surf most days after work. We've had friends arrive in who've needed places to stay while they set themselves up or a place to stay as they pass through between the north and south islands and after talking with the other housemates we said that it would be nice to bring more people through as a way to meet people travelling and for travellers to have a place to stay.
We're very much a laid back easy going relaxed house and fond of a few drinks and a dance at the weekends.

Growing up my favourite job was teaching people how to surf so I could show people if they were keen to try.
I do lots of fire spinning for people which I would be happy to show people how to do it.
