We're Noémie and Julien, a French couple traveling across Europe and Asia.
We both love meeting new people and discovering places.

After living for three years in the Philippines and in India together, we moved back to France, but didn’t find satisfaction in our 9 to 5 jobs… Adventure was calling !

That’s why we decided to pack our bags again, and go meet people with a sustainable way of living and a desire to minimize their impact on the environment. We will volunteer with them by doing some wwoofing. We'll start traveling at the end of July 2024. You can find out more about our adventures on Instagram @vialternatives.

We are train lovers and find it great for traveling slowly, and in a more sustainable way.

On our way to Asia, we will stop in a few cities and would love to meet local people who can share something about their culture. Couchsurfing is great for that !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I (Noémie) first joined couchsurfing 10 years ago and really liked it. I enjoyed traveling differently, and sharing good moments with the person who hosted me and a friend in Barcelona. It's been a while since I used CS, and I'm looking forward to being part of this community again.

This year, Julien and I are slowly heading towards Asia, without taking planes, and would love to meet people along the way! Our first stops are Venice, Zagreb, Bar, Belgrade, Sofia and Istanbul.

We've never been able to host because we've been moving around a lot, or lived in small spaces. But one day we will do it for sure, so we can give back to this generous community :)
