My name's Noémie (but you can call me Kiche) and i'm french.
I discovered in summer 2014 that what i wanted the most in my life is to make of my life a road trip, kind of
(At least have experiences abroad can be a good beginning ahah..), that is not really what happened let's be honest but there will be for sure more exciting adventures to be ~
So i'm realy curious about everything except people who judge or who don't make efforts to be more open minded
I love moutain, i'm now leaving in chamonix - french alps since 2019, and i think it would be impossible now to seriouly think about moving back to live in town after this.. I realy appreciate nature and the peaceful calm that goes with, it would be a pleasure to share wonderful places and tips if you are hanging around, 'cause this place worth the seen for sure !
I'm fascinated by discovering new cultures, ways of living, religions, languages, wonderfull places, and even if i don't have a big experience of traveling, i'll be happy to exange on it
I've always liked cooking, so i made my job of it, and also i think it's a nice job to travel with, or anyway it always can be nice skills to have. But what i like even MORE is pastry ! I think french pastry is fascinating and so artistic.. But i'm realy curious to see what it's like in other countries of course !
I used to be someone sportive, i did a lot of rollering, horse riding, climbing, swimming, also a bit of skating and dancing, and i'm now trying to learn snowboarding, as i live up the mountain ahah
I realy want to learn from everything i can, and improve myself to become a better person, everyday of my life! And i feel like traveling and meeting new faces is the best way to get it ~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In summer 2022 I managed to go in Norway, by foot and hitch hiking coming through Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
I was eventually looking for some people to meet on the road, exchange experiences, talk about anything, hang out, discover new cultures, ..
I love to meet new persons and exchange, and couldn't wait to get in touch with hosting people to make the trip even more lovely.

At the end I realised I expected more human exchange, whatever I would be in my erea or abroad from this application, love the concept ~

Music, Movies, and Books

I basicly listen to everything, from classical music to metal rock, raggae and bass music, oldies.. But what makes me feel real good is J A Z Z (thanks to my dad for that)

I don't know a lot about cinema, but I try to increase my knowledge in this way too, I especially loved films by Baz Luhrman, Moulin Rouge's still my favourite ~

I didn't realy like reading 'till soon, I guess I wanted to know more of french classicals (without needing a dictionary and a paracetamol ahah) but I liked also philosophical, spiritual and self development reading,
Love poestry and theatre sometimes as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once i went to Boom Festival in the north of Portugal without any money nor transport plans from Paris. I was first complicated but i had to get by to go on. I realy enjoyed to see how much you can count on unknown persons to help you, that gave me faith in humanity.
So made it step by step ; Paris, Barcelone, Madrid, Porto Bianco, then Boom Festival.
It was the most amazing journey of my life, and if i had to do some kind of trip like that again, i would jump on it !

Teach, Learn, Share

I chose to work in the kitchen so i can easily travel and work at the same time, and i'm curious about how to cook abroad.
I manage to work as volunteer to help the ones who need, by cooking or other skills.
I like botanic, actually when i'll get enough exprience in my job, i'd love to open a tea room where we could sell therapeutic pastry, mixing botanic and pastry.
Unfortunatly i don't have a lot to teach (and i'm not a great teacher ahah) for now cause i d'ont have a big knowledge, but sometimes when i have a common passion with someone, i'm surprised i may say something that the other didn't knew.
All i can try to learn i guess is french, maybe pastry as well, but among that I can also take you somewhere nice, or just take a tea and chat about basically everything
I recently put myself into reading and I was surprised on how it can increase culture and nice talking !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I especially am curious about culture, knowledge and way of living of other peoples, because i think all of this make a person so special. I like to discover new places and talk about it with the people i meet.
Also i like to exange on my hobbies ; cooking, pastry, nature, gardening, travelling, music..
But I'll be happy to share some time if you come in my valley as well, make you discover some beautiful places, nice hiking or any other outdoor activities around (and there are loads of it here), even just go for a drink in a nice place and have a chat would be a pleasure ~
