ABOUT ME

Once upon a time, on an island far far away from mainland France, grew up a girl eager to discover the World. She soon became fond of travelling, if not addicted to it. First, she discovered places in North America and the Carribean. Then, she lived the Dream as an exchange student during an Erasmus year in Northern Europe and fell in love with the whole continent from West to East including South. Finally, she crossed many borders but needed more : she wanted to go beyond her own limits.

As a challenge, on January 2018, she left everything behind her, job opportunities, accomodation, daily routine, friends and, above all, her family and her boyfriend. Before going further in Life, she had to achieve something big on her own. That is how she decided backpacking across the Pacific will be her new project. During a year, she dedicated all her energy on getting ready but kept a part of surprises as for the exact organisation on-site.

One of her hopes was that the Couchsurfing Community would give a hand and help her to get the most out if her plans and enjoy them to the fullest. That is exactly what happened when she experienced it in the US (St Louis Memphis Fort Worth Dallas Austin Houston New Orleans...) ! She is now looking forward to creating new bounds beyond boundaries ;-).

Ami(e)s francophones, bonjour !

Originaire de Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, je suis une globetrotteuse en devenir et j'aime à parcourir le monde qui m'entoure dès que j'en ai l'occasion ! La découverte d'une culture, la découverte de l'Autre, la découverte de soi... Autant de raisons pour continuer sur cette voie !

En 2013 et 2014, j'ai posé mes valises à Helsinki, en Finlande, port d'attache à partir duquel j'entendais larguer les amarres pour découvrir d'autres pays alentours... Mission accomplie ! J'ai continué sur ma lancée, installée à Paris, avec un peu de temps libre pour bouger par-ci par là :). Aujourd'hui, j'ai tout laissé en suspend : ma recherche de collaboration libérale en cabinet d'avocats, mon logement, ma routine, mes ami(e)s, mais surtout ma famille et mon couple. Il est important à mon sens de concrétiser ce dont je rêve depuis tant d'années avant d'aller plus au-delà. Je m'octroie donc ce périple en solitaire, avec mon sac-à-dos et mes envies, durant six mois.

J'espère vivement que Couchsurfing en sera la clé du succès ! C'est en tout cas une opportunité qui a beaucoup marqué mon roadtrip aux Etats Unis :) Au plaisir de profiter de ce moyen malin de voyager, au plus proche des réalités !

PHILOSOPHY

I am enjoying life to the fullest ! If Life gives you lemon... make a limonade instead :D

I would rather have remorse than regrets, but so far I have none of them ;-) That means I would rather do whatever I want to (even if the result goes wrong), than hesitating and missing my chance...

I am also really respectfull of every culture and I do my best to fit to other standards than mine and to understand other ways of life. Very open-minded, very cheerful as well. That is also why I like to learn new languages (at least the basics, just enough to be polite !), try new food (a true food-lover with no allergy except for cilantro/coriander...), listen to stories/legends...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have experienced couchsurfing for two awesome weeks in the US, during a road trip with a close friend... let say that every moment was more than very special to me ! I've learnt a lot from my hosts and myself (more than I would have expected) and I can't wait to try it again somewhere else, to move to the next step !

A couch, a carpet, a place on the floor or outdoor would be more than enough ! I love kids, I really like cats, I am afraid of big dogs but I can overcome it :-). I am non-smoker but not allergic nor intolerant to it and I have no special diet to respect.

I am also used to live in community, hosting friends, relatives or acquaintances if need be. I have no problem to adapt myself to different lifestyles or habits and I am polite and respectful.

Interests

My Good Mood goes with a lot of pastimes and other cultural interests, such as travelling (of course !) but also dancing, writing (novels, poetry), reading, trekking, watching films and tv series, doing sport (dance, running, ice-skating and swimming) gaming (diablo III, call of duty..)..... pretty hard to sum up all my hobbies! Anyway, I am looking forward to share common interests or learn new things from you once we will get in touch ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most stunning adventure I've experienced so far certainly occured the evening I watched the Northernlights waving above frozen Finland after having enjoyed a 80-degrees sauna and rolled myself in the snow with -30°C degrees outside :)
