About Me
Hi!
I'm Noemi, 24, born In Bucharest, Romania. I got a BA in Performing Arts in Bucharest, then moved to France, where I studied acting at the National Theatre Conservatory in Paris, and a contemporary dance programme at the Sorbonne.
During my studies I met this wonderul boy Ben, and after we long distanced for quite some time, I moved to London.
Now I'm this frenchised Romanian living and working as an actress in London, and I really enjoy it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love travelling. And one of the best parts of doing that is meeting people! I don't think that money should be the key factor that determines us to do things, and I found that couchsurfing is the most human, fun and insightful way of discovering new places and cultures!
For the time being I'm not able to host, but I hope I will in the nearby future.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movies are Clockwork orange, La double vie de Veronique and Cries and whispers. I adore Bergman, Bunuel, Haneke, Kieslowski. I listen to a lot of classical music, particularly Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and John Adams. I also like Leonard Cohen, Lykke Li, Miami Horror, Lana del Rey.
I'm an avid reader, and some of my favourite writers are Artaud, Henry Miller, Herta Muller, Kafka, Coetzee.
Last marvellously funny book read: Ayoade on Ayoade
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I filmed with romanian film director Cristian Mungiu for Beyond the hills, a movie that was awarded 2 prizes at Cannes festival.
I used to make and sell hand made jewellery over the internet. It was very ugly.
As I'm writing this, I was trying to make lemon drizzle muffins for my friends, and failed considerably.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to do language exchanges! I am fluent in Romanian, French and English, and have some knowledge of Spanish and German, so I'd love to dabble in that!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very adaptable, so it very much depends on what the others feel like too. We can go out to see some shows, or cook and drink and share stories. Or let me know if you want anything specific from England ( my friend in Germany insisted I bring her tea, more for the symbol)
