About Me

I'm from Venezuela. I came to the USA in September 2015 to teach as a visitor exchange teacher and I'm supposed to stay here for some while. I teach Spanish to middle schoolers. So far, it has been a great time that has allowed me to grow in experience, both professional and personally. My husband George came with me, but not for teaching purposes. He's just another adventurer like myself trying to make a living for the two of us. He has been to many more places than me (England, Holland, Brazil, France, among others). We are both talkative, easygoing, friendly, we love traveling, getting to know people from other cultures, making new friends, helping the needy, reading, telling and hearing stories, music, arts, among others. We have no children yet, nor pets, but we love both of them. I sing and George plays the guitar (he's a lefty).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love getting to know people, helping them as much as we can, make new friends and share our experience, stories and culture whenever/wherever possible. Also, I love traveling and if I can save some money on the go, that is great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Missions in the deep jungle in the Venezuelan and Colombian Amazonas to take goods and supplies to the native indigenous people over there. In order to get there, we usually take a 3 hour boat ride on the Orinoco River, the one that separates the 2 countries borders.
