I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
I love reading and writing. I enjoy nature.
I am a friendly person who loves to talk. My tastes are simple; I am easily entertained. I love hugs. I am easy-going, but when I do set my mind on something it is made up.

PHILOSOPHY

We are made in the image of God. We are not God but merely a reflection of his likeness made to praise Him with our lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I have only surfed as my wife and I are making our way across Europe. We try to give back to our hosts (often in the form of a hot meal) as a way to thank them for their hospitality. We have not hosted yet, but we are excited to move back to MN and open up our home to guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our experience on CouchSurfing has been great so far. We have met some awesome people and have been amazed at the generosity of complete strangers.

Interests

I love outdoor activities, soccer(football), ultimate frisbee, volleyball, swimming, boating, rock climbing, scenic walks, cliff jumping, card games, board games, puzzles, motorcycles, movies, fireworks, classic literature, and the formation and study of languages.

I love to learn; to experience new foods, languages, cultures, words, and scenery.

Good movies, better books: Pride and Prejudice, Count of Monte Cristo, Les Miserable. Movies: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, My Fair Lady, The Man From Snowy River, The Bourne series, Three Amigos, Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin, Houseguest. Authors: C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Jane Austin, Francis Scheaffer. Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, Les Miserable, The Republic (Plato).
My music appreciation touches all genres except polka, but mostly, rock, alternative, and R&B. Okay, maybe polka sometimes... when I'm dancing with my wife.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went sky-diving. I have hiked on Mt. Kilomanjaro, in the Andes mountains, the Smokies, the Rockies, and, most recently, the Apennine Mountains near Naples.
I saw the birth of my beautiful daughter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about other cultures. I have an enthusiastic appreciation for languages. I particularly desire to learn Italian. I have studied medicine some.
I am a Carpenter and so have knowledge in that arena. I often view the world philosophically.
