About Me

I am currently living in a lovely friendly street in North Fitzroy, Melbourne with my boyfriend, awesome housemate Luke and our gorgeous, elderly rescue greyhound Soxxie who loves to mostly snooze. I'm easy going, loveee eating out (and spend too much money doing so), good coffee, wine and always open to dancing to almost any genre of music but particularly get down with Melbourne's house/techno and jazz music scene. I've been vegetarian for several years and care a lot about the environment. I find I am most relaxed when in the bush surrounded by trees. I enjoy a good conversation especially re: politics, the environment, community values and social justice. Get a buzz when learning about topics or history I know nothing about.

I have travelled around Europe, Asia, Central America and a little of South America after taking a few years off during university. I started solo backpacing as an 18 year old and still find it exhilarating to hike / travel / explore by myself sometimes. I recently spent 10 days hiking in New Zealand by myself and spent a few weeks in Myanmar last year solo. As the years have gone by I've become increasingly driven to travel respectfully and mindfully and will forgo experiences if they are ethically questionable.

I love iyenga yoga, running and when I have time reading as much as I can

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, I regularly enjoy Melbourne's live music scene. I am known to enjoy jazz, techno, soul, funk and even hiphop if the mood is right.

My current favourite movie is probably The Square but I also love a number of Terrence Malick's movies. Also Taika Waititi's What we do in the shadows, so funny. Only lovers left alive all great. I live near an arthouse cinema so have been enjoying all types of international movies over the past few years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked and climbed to the top of the Acropolis in Tasmania, roadtripped multiple times through the middle of Australia, dived with sharks in the waters of Little Corn Island in the Caribbean
