Overview
About Me
Currently in Melbourne!
I was raised in the hot Arizona desert for almost all of my childhood, but I always knew that I wanted to leave. The road has always called to me and I knew that a life of travel was in my future. I spent my first long-term travel stint doing a 6 month study abroad trip in Copenhagen. I was 19 and that totally stoked the fire for travel that I already knew I had. Since then I went back to Arizona to finish my BA and decided to move right after.
I went to Denver, Colorado with no job in line, no friends to meet, and a desire to start a new life in the mountains. I spent 3 years working, climbing, and skiing all while trying to find the next big thing to do with my life. I found that opportunity in a 1-year work/travel visa to Australia which is the adventure that I'm currently on. So now I'm traveling the world and hoping to meet many new, great people and experience all that the world has to offer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There is no better way to get to know a place than to meet the people who actually live there. Couchsurfing seems like the perfect opportunity to really get to know the true essence of a place, all while making lasting friendships across the world! Travel is an amazing thing in itself, but getting to share your experiences with old friends and new is what exploring the world is all about!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have appreciation for all kinds of music, however some of my favorite musicians are Jamie XX, Minus the Bear, Modest Mouse, Tyler the Creator, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Fly Golden Eagle, The Black Keys, Arcade Fire, Cage the Elephant, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West and many more! You can never have too much music in your life!
I definitely watch more TV shows than movies, with shows like 30 Rock, The Office, Bojack Horseman, Mad Men, and Adventure Time being some of my favorites. I will also say that if you are at all into the Comedy Bang! Bang! show or podcast then we can talk for hours because I am a superfan!
In terms of books I typically read novels with authors like Kurt Vonnegut and Haruki Murakami being 2 of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Instead of amazing things I've done, how about I tell of the 3 most amazing places I've ever had a chance to visit!
(In no particular order):
1. The Cliffs of Moher in Ireland! I had a change to see these during a 2 week trip to Ireland with my family. There is something so breathtaking about looking down a cliff that size to see the ocean crashing below. It really gives you a sense of time that is hard to describe. Plus it gives you that weird feeling of wanting to jump off, even though everything is telling you not to! I cannot recommend this place enough!
2. Fjord tour in Norway! During my time in Copenhagen I had the great pleasure of befriending a group of Norwegians that were able to give me a tour of their country. We started in Bergen, but went all over the country to camp, meet family, and take boat tours through the massive Fjords that the country is known for. There is a reason that people come from all over the world to see them and I would say that the trip is more than worth it.
3. Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon! This one was in my own backyard of Northern Arizona, but that does not mean that it is not unbelievable. I got the lucky experience to hop on a trip with a group of friends when another person dropped out. It's a 10 mile hike through the winding depths of the canyon into one of the most incredible landscapes you could imagine. The land is protected by the Havasupai tribe, which is part of the Native American popular that was been in that area for longer than I can say. The water is bluer than blue and there are multiple waterfalls over 100 feet tall!
Teach, Learn, Share
I absolutely love the outdoors and am passionate about anything that gets me to see more of them! I am always on board to get new climbers into the wonderful world of scaling rocks, and take people on longer bike rides than they ever would have liked! Nature is an especially important part of my life and I love to share my passions and learn from those who can teach me something new!
I have also worked in restaurants for a number of years and love food, wine, and beer! I have a budding passion for the wines of the world and could talk about food, wine, beer, and service for hours with anyone who is interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm the kind of person who always has energy to spare and a smile on my face. I love to have a good time and am always ready for whatever life throws at me! I am known to be extremely silly and goofy and know I can put a smile on your face!
With that being said I can deal with about any situation. I am very flexible in about any environment and know how to blend in without being a hassle.
