关于我
I am a 24-year-old art education student living in Rennes, Britanny, France, previously staying in Calgary AB, Canada, as part of an exchange program. Sometimes I also pose as a photo model for friends, family, artists. :) I have a fairly good English level and speak some elementary Spanish, and my international experience can be summarized in these countries:
- France (Paris and suburbs, Rennes, Nantes, Vannes, Strasbourg, Dijon, Montpellier...)
- Spain (Andalucía, Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura)
- Ireland (Cork and suburbs)
- Italy (Sardinia)
- Hong Kong
- Australia (Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Sydney)
- The Netherlands (Amsterdam)
- Belgium (Liège, Bruxelles)
- England (London)
- Canada (Calgary, Banff, Edmonton, Canmore, Québec, Montréal).
Though I may appear shy at first, I love human contact (and non human animals' interaction too!), exchanging ideas and thoughts with people, discussing many topics and sharing some of my personality, experience, with others. I hope you'd really want to know more about me as I'd have great pleasure learning from you !
Else, well... I'm a tall red-haired thingy with glasses and some piercings, passionate about art in its various forms, culture, social matters, video games and web, languages, vegan food and cats. I'm trying my best to be original, creative, and open-minded towards everyday life and people. Moreover I like hard-working as long as I have pleasure doing it, and am really involved in what I am doing. I have professional experience as a barista and fastfood employee. Life is a short adventure I enjoy having a part in, even in the darkest moments we all learn something.
/!\ I used to be a verified member and had my address verified too. Strangely enough, CS requires $84CAD now to be verified, and I cannot afford that since I'm rarely travelling because of my studies. For any further information or proof of identity, I can provide social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat) and friends' recommendations. Thanks.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
My aim is to get to meet new people and their culture and enjoy a stay at someone's house, as it is a wonderful opportunity to create social interaction all over the world. Plus, it's an easy way to travel at a small cost, which is appealing to us students. Meeting locals is more interesting than paying for a private room in a hotel.
I've hosted at different times, a few years ago, two lovely vegan people from South France, plus a uni friend moving back to Rennes quite recently and another two friends visiting from Caen and Grenoble. Local friends usually crash at my place after parties too.
I've surfed to Nantes and Massy (still in France) and the experience was great - although I understand it may be difficult sometimes to free yourself as a host and share a lot of time with your guests. Once we were around ten couchsurfers in the same place, we cooked altogether, sang, played the guitar and talked endlessly, it was amazing! I usually surf with friends.
In June 2017, a friend I had met in Calgary and I went on an adventure to Québec City, and were hosted by an incredible couchsurfer who taught us so many things about the city and the province. I also stayed later at an old high school friend's place in Montréal.
I may be able to host a guest or two for the night in Rennes IF AND ONLY IF they do carry sleeping bag(s) and any other necessary material, since I only have a spare room that isn't furnished with a bed. Sorry but I won't share my own bed unless I know you pretty well, haha.
Oh, and I also have an Airbnb account which I use whenever I want to travel independently (when arriving in Calgary for example, or when I traveled to Strasbourg for a romantic escape). But the concept of sharing a day, a trip, and fun moments with CS users is more interesting culturally and socially speaking. :)
兴趣
I enjoy spending my spare time watching videos and meaningless memes, playing video games on Steam, surfing on the weird, dark part of the internet, reading sci-fi novels or philosophical essays, sketching feminine bodies or satirical topics on sheets of paper, enjoying a cup of tea and walking aimlessly when the sun is out. I feel really concerned about social fights, particularly feminism and queer topics; plus I am involved in antispeciesism with a bunch of friends irl and online. Oh, and I love bodmods, and practice badminton and judo when I can.
No drugs (420 okay), no cigarettes, drinks socially, food all the time.

音乐、电影和书籍
My music tastes go from classical, jazzy styles, to different electro tones (techno, hardstyle, psytrance, goa, vaporwave, house..), progressive and post-rock, some pop, and even a bit of metal. Everything except rap, rnb genres.
Movies must be impressive in their sense and form, I don't like it when it's all about amazing effets with no message. But then some comedy is okay. Some of my fav ones among sci-fi, action, sentimental, anime and series references: Die Hard, Into the Wild, Imitation Game, LOTR, Source Code, Gattaca, Snowpiercer, Inglourious Basterds, Je vais bien ne t'en fais pas, Mémoires d'une geisha, Dans la maison, Toy Story 3, Twelve Years a Slave, Chatroom, Hugo Cabret, Avatar, Clones, Time Out, Inception, Shutter Island, Harry Potter series, Edward Scissorhands, L'Aile ou la Cuisse, Le Dîner de Cons, Les Sous-Doués, etc. / Elfen Lied, Spirited Away, Mirai Nikki, Death Note, etc. / Breaking Bad, Dr House, Nus et Culottés, Real Humans, Utopia, Hero Corp, American Horror Story, The 100.
And then books. Well well, I have never been a book-holic but I started reading masterpieces and informative texts and it got me quite interested. Some titles :
Le journal d'Anne Frank / Dom Juan, Molière / La Nuit de Valognes, Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt / La Chambre des Officiers, Marc Dugain / No Steak, Aymeric Caron / Les Thanatonautes et L'Empire des Anges, Bernard Werber / Propos sur le bonheur, Alain / Lait, mensonges et propagande, Thierry Souccar / L.O.L.A., Claire Mazard / La Nuit des Temps, René Barjavel / Le Meilleur des Mondes, Aldous Huxley.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Changed all my eating habits for ethical, moral, political and health reasons. Because it's the right thing to do.
Decided to live abroad for a full study year, knowing no one, nothing about the country and the city's history, just because "why not".
Participated in a few art exhibitions in this very country where I had no professional network and no contacts beforehand. It gave me so much confidence in my own art production.
教,学,和分享
I can teach you some basic French and art history, philosophy, social sciences, art education or guitar tracks if you're into it! And of course share with you my cultural, political ideas if you want to. I'm open to discuss everything.
I'd love to learn about your own story, what brought you here, how life is going in your country and its traditions, patrimony, celebrations. If you have specific requests, let me know, I'd gladly respond to them as precisely as possible. If you know sign language, I'd appreciate to know a bit more about it, for I am friend with hearing-impaired people and interested in learning a new visual language. I may be interested in learning a bit of Japanese and Dutch, since I barely know a few words and sentences, perhaps?!
我可以与沙发主分享些什么
Knowledge, experience, debates, emotions, etc. Fun and stupid memes. A taste of French plant-based cuisine. Art stuff. A bit of my intimate world and my personal hobbies. If you need help with light housekeeping, cooking, errands or pet care, I'm here!
