About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to live my life to the fullest from my real potential, to serve, to love
ABOUT ME
Love meeting new people and cherishing the old friendships! Don't expect the classic mexican or the classic german (if there has ever been such at all), I'm just me. Love picking up habits and traditions from other places and people be it cuisine, dress, speaking, behaviour. I eat with chopsticks since I'm 17, as I found it a good way to eat more mindfully and peacefully. I pick up accents really quickly. Can adapt easily and willingly to anything as long as I know it won't be forever (actually forever does not exist for me, the only really permanent thing is life is CHANGE, and I have joyfully accepted that).
I love being in good company, to have interesting talks, or to just BE. I'm not a person who constantly needs someone around. I actually enjoy and need time with myself. I love to enjoy what is, love to explore, I absolutely love nature. It is where I reconnect. I don't smoke and don't do drugs, no alcohol or coffee, just don´t resonate. But I might be addicted to adrenaline. I am sometimes open to trying 'pipe-of-peace' rituals as long as the vibe feels real.
I used to not eat cow or pig, but for the time being I feel ok with eating whatever comes my way, especially when I travel. At home with my daughter I tend to be more careful as to what we eat on a regular basis. And it has become increasingly important for me to be more mindful about what we consume snd send out regarding thoughts and feelings, media and information.
PHILOSOPHY
When Imyself am at peace, I am making a huge contribution to world peace itself. It all starts with onself. Some years ago I was courageous and stubborn enough to want to change the world and the people around me. Now I know that the only thing I can really work on or change is myself. It is not necessary and possible to change the world, the only thing I can do is inspire the people around me by doing what I absolutely enjoy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Been many places, seen many faces, done many crazes. There is still this thrill I feel when I share my travel stories and the so called ´travel experience´, but in the end... who cares? What I lived is my very own repertoire from my very own limited perspective on life and I have decided to let it all rest, grow, and, hopefully mature into something much grander than just small-talking about where I have been and what I have seen and done. But still, if someone is interested in any of the places I´ve had the chance to see I am very happy to talk about it. It has been 10 years though :)
I consider myself to be simply an excentric and I believe I have something very valuable to give to the people that surround me, just like each and everyone of us has. I believe the world needs people who grow up different from the rest, to show them that there`s more than the system and society, that we do not need to fit in, but find our very own path. I love being a window into a different scenery and I am also on CS because every person here is such a window to me.
I'm very curious about life and all it has to offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
As a couchsurfer and a host CS made me feel safe and at home anywhere in the world!!! CS made me feel so welcome everywhere in the world. The feeling of one big family. And that's what I find so phantastic about CS: these days, when people mistrust eachother more each day....CS reestablishes the belief in the good of people, that you can trust others, and yourself. Hosts and surfers both help and trust, two of the most beautiful and almost extinct human values are being cultivated. Apart from that, CS is just the best way to travel the world on a shoe-string and to experience encounters with wonderful people on a deeper level, getting to spend more time together than on a bus or a plane, by getting to see how they live. CS is a window into other people's world willing to share how they live. I`ve never heard about bad experiences on CS. It's a wonderful way to open up to the world or to invite the world home into the living room.

Cooking my food ina solar pot or solar oven as often as I can. I am fascinated by ancestral ways of refrigeration that can be used today as well, water-purifying systems with cactus juice, etc. Stuff to survive on without electricity or fossil resources.
To need less of everything each day

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch movies anymore, no radio, no tv, no news. screens as entertainment do not exist in our home. I do handcrafts with my daughter, we watch the sky and the stars, get up early to catch a sun-rise, wait for the sun to set, that is spectacular entertainment. Or watch our cat and dog play hide and seek,
movies I used to like:
The story of the weeping camel
amores perros (love's a bitch)
the unbearable lightness of being
trade, welcome to America
the constant gardener
babel
007
into the wild
(I DON'T like the message at the end though. To me it says "if you leave the system and go find your own way you'll end up miserable or dead, hopelessly lost in the wild without being able to tell your story or inspire others -unless Shean Penn comes along and makes a movie out of it! So if you don't wanna risk your life stay in the safe system of society and shut up... )
music:
trance-house-chillout-electro
instruments like harp, hang drum, japanese flute
sounds in nature
SILENCE
right now I really enjoy listening to Natalia Doco, Eli and Fur, Guillaume Ferran.
books:
Haven´t read a book in ages, can do that later when I can't move anymore! To me real knowledge comes only with hands-on practice, not just reading. Plus I love to write about my own travels.
I remember I liked these books:
Love is letting go of fear
Walden-how to live alone in the woods
writing about my travels
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Seeing plancton glow at night on the shores of almost-pristine beach in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, and a few years later witnessing the same magical phenomenon on Ko Pipi Island, Thailand, then on Holbox Island Mexico. It's always magical!!
- catching a glimpse of a group of tiny sparkly blue flying fish flying over the water surface, Orchid Island (a lovely south pacific island off the coast of Taiwan)
- blowing an ant out of my ear without panicking when wild camping in the bushes in Prague ...
- hitch-hiking alone through Europe (Germany, Czech Rep., France, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta) and Asia (Japan, Hong-Kong and Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, and parts of China)
- camping in a non-waterproof tent on Mt Fuji, getting caught by a typhoon up there, surviving the descent without being blown off the slopes
- experiencing life in Mexico-City for almost 2 years and driving in this overcrowded, loud, and polluted place without getting hurt or going completely nuts.
- to give birth to a lovely daughter, the adventure breast-feeding her, and the never ending expedition of child rearing and self discovery
Teach, Learn, Share
Das einzig beständige im Leben ist die Veränderung. La unica constante en la vida es el cambio. The only permanent thing we have in life is change. Il y une seule chose dans la vie qui est constante, c'est le changement.
Happiness is double when shared! pain and sorrow are half when shared!
I agree that money can't buy happiness, but it does get you some pretty things. Money is fun! The best though is indeed for free.
The real luxury items nowadays are SILENCE, TIME, GOOD HEALTH. They are actually pricelss.
don't kill all the germs on your veggies! they make your immune system stronger!
Travel now! Read books later when you can't move anymore!
Trust life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
When hosting me (and my daughter and dog) you´ll allow a refrishreshing, excentric, and enthusiastic breeze into your home, with many stories to tell if you show interest in hearing them, and if not I will be just a silent and discrete, friendly and helpful person.
I am very independant, so I do not need you to be around me all the time. I do appreciate my own space and privacy, that is absolutely essential to me. I do welcome true and deep conversations. That is not possible with everyone, so I do respect that and can also just small-talk. I can spend hours with someone talking really deep stuff for hours, though. That helps me to cope with my reality and the reality around, and then I can come back up to the surface again and continue my life in the matrix :)
